No, unfortunately I didn't. My new title, I believe, is compliments of MJ.

I was at the "Best Coast Meet" this last weekend and we all went to Millionaire together. MaryJo had set it up that we would all go and "watch TheLionKing and Bob duke it out for the hot seat". Well we tried not to disappoint. The first time that they posted the top 10, TLK was #1 and I was #2. I'll have you know that MaryJo was #3!! We both missed a few so we dropped out of the top 10 before they needed to fill the hot seat again.

They got the new person in the hot seat and then at 1000 they posted the top ten and I was #1 and TLK was #3. I believe it was at either the 2000 or 4000 point level that she got some definite help from the audience groaning over her selection so she changed her answer before saying "final answer". I'm pretty sure, without the audience's help, that I would have made it in. The only thing that might have prevented it was if they called time and brought in another group. So that was her "4th" lifeline and then the audience did it again later but by then, I had missed a question and the time was up anyway.

So that is the story behind the "hot seat" comment so kindly added by our own MaryJo. We had such a great time this weekend.

That's too bad. I was hoping we'd have a new Millionaire!

At least you did get to go and have a great time with the other DISers. I can't wait to see the pictures.

We had a great time. Oh... and Bob didn't tell you that when he & TLK dropped, then I was #1 - Luckily, I didn't get in the hot seat, though - I was too nervous. tammyh-oregon also got in the top 10, so the DIS was well represented.

I had to come home early yesterday, and the rascals wanted to stay & play with the DISers, so I picked them up later.

I know what you mean about being nervous. I'm almost always in the top 10, but I've never made it in the hot seat. I think I'd rather eat glass.
