Hi Everyone!

I have a coworker heading to Disney next week. They are staying at POR. Her husband just had a heart attack 2 weeks ago. Doctors have given him a green light to go to WDW. I told her they would just have to take it a little slower and rest more. Anyhow, I know I've read some great things on here about Bob Jackson. What type of a show is it? What time is it? Any special days? I thought this might be a good option for a relaxing time. Sorry if it's a repeat, but I couldn't do a search. TIA!:earsgirl:

he use to be on the weekends - but I think the post say Wed - thru Sat night now?

this is in the lounge - if you come in the main entrance - it is to your left on the way to the restuarant and food courts

He performs Wed-Sat at the River Roost lounge in POR. When we were there, the place was jam packed. It was about 9:00pm. We stopped for a bit and I have to say that man is a genius. He plays the piano and really gets everyone in the room singing along with him.

I used to think this was Disney's best kept secret, but I guess the cat is out of the bag. DH and I stumbled upon Bob one night on our way back to our room. We were only going to stay for a short time, but instead stayed the entire show. It is pure family orientated fun. I would highly recommend it to everyone!

Thanks Guys! I knew I could count on you for this one! My coworker plans to go see Bob Jackson next Wed Night!::MinnieMo

Children are not only welcome, but have a wonderful time..very much included.

Bob is a highlight of every trip we take to WDW. We plan at least one night (last trip it was two nights) to go to Dixie Landings (OOPS! PO-Riverside) and experience his show. I don't see how spending $25+ at Pleasure Island could compare to his show at the Cottton Co-Op (OOPS! there I go again, the River Roost). the first time we stayed at PO-Riverside we kind of stumbled upon him and we were SOLD! Even my hard-to-please wife LOVES his show. We are going back this April and can't wait to see and talk to Bob Jackson again. We were part of the e-mail campaign that helped bring him back after the post 9/11 cutbacks. We are glad Bob is back at WDW. This is Disney magic at its best.

We love Bob. In fact, whenever my daughter and I are reminiscing about POR, we inevitably burst into a round of "Sarah. Sarah. Sittin' on the shedhouse door!" He gets everyone involved. My daughter was 15 when we were there and had a blast. My favorite part (it took us awhile to catch on) is when he chooses someone in the room and asks them where they're from. If they're from Arizona, he says "Anyone else from Arizona?" and a BUNCH of people cheer! I was thinking, wow, there sure are alot of people from Arizona here. Then there's someone from Scotland. Anyone else from Scotland? CHEEEERR!!! Anyone else from Texas?? HURRAHH!! Too funny. You can also order food (bar food type stuff - fried mozarella, etc) from the River Roost. Have fun!

Sounds like a blast! My oldest dd is 15 and "too cool" for alot of children's humor, but this sounds like it will be fun for all. Can't wait to see him! Thanks for the input!

I AM Bob's fan club president of the Midwest. Janet2K has the west coast covered.

Bob is great. It was me that started the letter writing campaign to keep him on stage. And all of Bob's fans stepped up to the plate and kept him on board.

He used to be the best kept secret, but not anymore more.

Whether you're young, middle aged, or a senior, YOU WILL be involved in his show. He takes 2 or 3 breaks a night and makes it a point to meet EVERYONE.

His songs are the best and he even has a CD that sells for $10. If you are a fan, it is a must buy.

Now that its Xmas time, he plays Xmas songs too. His VERY BEST is the 12 days of Xmas. Almost everyone has a part.

As far as food, you used to be able to order almost everything. Now they only let you order appetizers. Cheese sticks, chicken wings..etc.

We email Bob every so often, he always emails back. We truly consider him a friend.

He just started a new website...www.yehaabob.com. Check it out. Its in the beginning stages and will only get better.

If you have a digital camera, bring it with you. He wants pictures of his fans and he will post them on his website.

I could go on and on.. one thing to remember, as silly as it may seem that you may be asked to participate in his show...remember this..."you'll never see these people again."

The bartenders and waitresses are the best. Very friendly. They work very hard and we tip them well.

You, and everyone else will have a BLAST. Enjoy his Xmas music.

His hours are. Weds. thru Saturday from 8:30PM to Midnight. If you make lots of noise and bang the tables and chant...BOB..BOB..BOB..BOB...he will play longer. Sometimes till 12:15 - 12:30 or so.

Happy Holidays to ALL !!!!!!!!

Hey King, I clicked on your link to Bob's site and got a "page not found" message.

We just love BOB!!!! We already have his CD. His is such a wonderful piano player.

We will be there Dec. 13-16 and were sad that he was only going to be at POR one of those nights. But I checked his web site and found out that he also plays at the Gaylord Palms. Can anyone tell me where this is? It would be great to see him there. He does dueling pianos there according to his web site.

Thanks!!!!!

So true, so true! KingGoofy has the Midwest covered, and my daughter and I have the West Coast covered. As a matter of fact, I have stayed at Port Orleans twice now just so that I could see Bob's show (I had read about it on the Dis for a few years). My most recent Bob-sighting was at the end of October. This time my husband got to experience Bob for the first time. He had a ball, as did a bunch of college men who stayed in the lounge until it closed that night.

Sharoncity, I hope that when your friends experience Bob Jackson's show, they have just as much fun as lots of us here on the Dis have had.

sounds very cool! do you need a Ps for this? does anybody have his jan. schedule?

He was the higjlight of our stay at POR. DD (5) loved the show and had a fab. time!
