I ate there with friends the first time during Marathon weekend. It was crowded, but we were still able to get a table and really enjoyed our meal. Service was also good.
When I went back with my family over Spring break, we stayed at SSR and I made it a point to get an ADR at Boatwright's. We all enjoyed the boat ride over from SSR - had planned to go to DTD, then to POR, but the great CMs called the POR boat and they picked us up from the SSR dock. There were a few other families on our return trip, too!
We ALL enjoyed our meal - even my kids who can be picky. And we are southerners. Loved the Voo Doo chicken, especially the collard greens! Had very attentive service, from the waiter in the bar next door, to our waiter there. (And we have dined at Michelin 3-star restaurants in NYC, Vegas, and Paris. Not saying this is Michelin star-worthy fare, but it wasn't terrible!)
