Never been to Boatwrights…. What is your favorite dish? I have a reservation coming up and just not sure what to order. I am thinking of the “all you care to eat”

Filet Sliders, so good. Start with a Duck Duck Razz drink.

We liked the Jambalaya and Shrimp & Grits. I liked the ribs but I think they are only available now in the "All you can eat Platter".The Cornbread is great .

Everything is good at Boatwrights. Make sure to get the cornbread... not sure if it is served as a bread course before the meal or not.

Chef’s platter. You get to taste a little ribs, chicken, sausage and brisket. And it’s all amazing! Plus it’s AYCTE.

French onion soup, and Nashville hot chicken (if it were possible to make a doughnut out of chicken, it would taste like this!)

I was just looking at that on the menu. Does the word "hot" refer to the temperature (hot versus cold) or the spice level? I'm very spice-adverse, but I LOVE donuts!

Idk from personal experience about that donut, but Nashville hot chicken is a spicy chicken so I would guess spice level. Of course it’s temperature hot as well, but the “hot” part refers to spice.

I'm pretty spice-averse myself - I never order items printed in red on an Asian restaurant menu. Boatwright's chicken has a hint of peppers, but on a scale of 0-10 with 0 being completely unseasoned and 10 being something you'd need to chase with a pint of milk, I'd give it perhaps a 2-2.5.

Agreed. My favourite was the Boatwright's Jambalaya (Non veggie version). We also loved the crawfish mac and cheese but it doesn't appear to be on the menu now.

Went this past January. The Nashville Hot Chicken I had was good. My wife's shrimp in the shrimp and grits was good, but the grits portion was extremely soupy, did not pass the fork test.
