Boathouse Question

We have an ADR for The Boathouse in a few weeks and would love to sit outside by the water. It looks from the pictures like there are a lot of tables outside but what are our chances of getting an outside table with a 5:15 ADR for 2 on a Friday night? Also can we request this ahead of time or do we just ask when we check in?

Pretty good actually. I did that several weeks ago and was seated almost immediately. We were a party of two also.

We went the day before Thanksgiving for dinner around 4:45 pm and upon checking in asked us if we wanted inside or outside. We got taken to a table right away. It was our first time and we absolutely loved it there.

We sat outside last time we ate there. Just had to wait a bit longer for a table. Rain was in the area so they did say it might close (or one section might close I cannot remember) but it didn’t rain and we were fine eating out there. Actually a lovely view of the water and amphicars

We sat outside for our last visit and got sat relatively quickly...it took about 15 minutes. But it was packed and was around 6:00pm, and there was 4 of us. I will say your wait shouldn't be too long.

On another note, I found out this year that you can reserve Boathouse via Open Table waaaaaay in advance of the 60 day ADR window. We are going next month and I made the reservation almost 4 months in advance.

They have a lot of outdoor seating so I would guess you would have little problem. They ask if you want inside or outside when they seat you … at worst you might have to wait a bit if they are crazy busy.

Yep! When reserving Boathouse I always do so on OpenTable since you can do it earlier and OT is more flexible if plans change last minute.
