Boathouse or STK in Disney Springs

I'm in the process of finalizing our itinerary for December and I've got our DS restaurant choice down to Boathouse or STK. It will be me and DS9 and he is a great, adventurous eater and can hold his own in an upscale restaurant. He is my little gentleman! We've eaten at the Boathouse (opening day for lunch, in fact!) and we thought it was great! Haven't been to STK, but the menu looks really good. Please let me know your thoughts!

STK is more of a nightclub atmosphere, from what I've read. I think Boathouse is a better fit with a pre-teen.

LOL! I thought it was more of a steakhouse! Ok, Boathouse is probably the way to go!

We ate STK and we thought the food was ok, but not worth the price. We ate here around 5:30 and it definitely got progressively louder as our dinner went on. My 10 year old complained about how loud it was. My son loved his meal at the Boathouse! They have some adventurous options too.

We have a reservation at STK Orlando in 6 days. Yikes! Should i drop it?

We really enjoyed The Boathouse during our May trip. Myself, DH and DS all had awesome meals and loved it. We wound up going back 2 more times that trip and each time the food and service was excellent.

I'm planning my solo trip in Dec and thought about booking STK because the menu looked interesting and I wanted to try it. But if I'm going for a nice meal I don't want it to be dance club loud... I wound up booking The Boathouse instead because of awesome past experience and because its not crazy loud.
