Does the boat that goes to MK still stop at Wlderness Lodge also? We will be driving to all other parks but it would be nice to take the boat MK. But if they still make a stop at WL we will probably just drive over. The extra stop takes so long and it gets pretty crowded.

The larger boat which loads on the left hand side of the dock goes directly to the Magic Kingdom. Enjoy your trip:yay:

No I believe one goes to FW and another goes to MK, could be wrong. I'm sure someone else will chime in tho to correct me or something

Janis,

The big boat that runs to MK DOES stop at WL but only intermittently (sp?) mostly during the midday time.

Every time we've taken it in the morning from the Fort to make the MK rope drop or as MK is closing it's been a direct shot to the MK from the Fort. But during the middle of the day I have ridden it and it stopped at WL (but there weren't many folks at that time of day).

Like I said, in the morning they get you to the MK for rope drop.

Also realize that IF you drive, you are parking at the TTC and then waiting for a boat or monorail to take you over to MK. Boat or bus from FW is a much better idea.

Thanks for all the help. It has been about six years since I stayed at FW and we will be in the cabins this time instead of camping. I'm pretty sure it would be too far to walk from cabins to boat launch like we used to. Can't wait for August!

Even if you can't walk and have to take an internal bus to get the FW boat, it is still going to be quicker than driving to the MK. You CANNOT drive to the MK, you have to park at the TTC and then take the monorail or ferry over.

Taking the boat sounds like the best way over. How about getting back to FW. If we take our time after MK closes (hate the stampede to get out) will there still be boats going back?

you can also walk the pathway from MK to the Contemporary - there is a boat launch there that goes to the Fort.

BAY LAKE & SEVEN SEAS LAGOON RESORT BOATS:

The WL is now serviced by 2 Motor Cruisers (RED FLAG) and begin
running each day at 0830 and terminate operations about 1 hour
after the MK closes. These 2 RED FLAG boats run only between
the MK and the WL.

FW is now serviced by 1 motor cruiser and 1 motor launch (GREEN
FLAG) running each day from 0830 until about 1 hour after the MK
closes. These boats run only between the MK and the FW.

The 2 Motor Launches (BLUE FLAG) on Bay Lake serving the CR, WL
and the FW begin service at 0645 daily. They both run clockwise until
3 p.m. and then reverse direction at 3 p.m. Launches run until 2330.

If you want to go to the GF/Poly from the WL, CR or FW by boat, you
will have to go to the MK and then get the Gold flag launch. In addition, .
there is no boat that goes directly from the CR to the MK, GF or Poly.
Additional boats may be added to the Gold, Green, Red and Blue routes
during periods of exceptionally high demand, like at heavy MK closings,
to alleviate the guest lines at the docks.

Additionally for all motor launches, strollers must be folded prior to
boarding and ECVs cannot be accommodated on motor launches under
any circumstances. (Motor crusiers can accomodate ECV's.)

How early do they start the boats to MK on an EMH morning? Looking for an AM EMH rope drop and want to make sure it is doable.

8:30am sounds kind of late to make rope drop! I like to be at the gates by 8:15-8:30 for a 9am rope drop.

Do the motor launches run am hour earlier on days when Magic Kingdom opens at 7am (Christmas week for instance)?

Yes, the MK boat is always 1/2 hourish before opening. 1 hourish after closing.

1) In this case, take the boat to CR and monorail to MK.
2) The CR boat starts approx 6:45am at FW.
3) This method was put in place for CRT/CP/MC/Ohana character breakfasts.

Since it's ~8/10 mi walk/bus ride to the boat launch, it would take 3 forms of Disney transport (or 2 and a 15min walk with little ones), would it make just as much sense, if not more, to just drive to TTC and take the express monorail?
