Boat to Ft Wilderness?

Hi All-
We have Mickey's BBQ booked for one of our MK evenings. I would like to take the boat over to Ft. Wilderness from MK. The BBQ is 6:30 but I know you need to be there a little early. Has anyone done this? What time should we leave MK to get the boat?

I've taken the boat from MK to Ft Wilderness for Hoop Dee Doo many times. Just be on the dock by 5:30 and you should be fine! Have a great time!

5:30-ish sounds good. Ft. Wilderness is a nice place to relax a bit if you're early.

One more question- Is there stroller parking at the ferry dock or will I need to take it over to the Ft with me? I've never done the ferry before.

The boat they usually use for FW can take strollers. Unless it is really crowded you may not even need to fold the stroller although you should take your child out of the stroller when boarding and unboarding.

I would not leave your stroller at the dock. You will be there quite a while and I would not trust my stroller to be ok that long. The boat ride over is a nice relaxed ride. We often take a MK break and head over to trails end for dinner. Will your car be at MK or will you be taking WDW transportation? Its been a while since we did HDDR but when we did, they had buses outside when the show ended to take people back to all the WDW resorts so going back to the MK was not necessary unless that was the plan anyway.
