Boat to Boardwalk?

How long does it take to get from the Boardwalk to Downtown Disney and vice versa. Is there a boat that runs between the two or do you have to take the bus?

You would have to take a bus from DTD to the Boardwalk. If the bus goes to Swan/Dolphin/Yacht/Beach first, then the Boardwalk would be next. Maybe 45 minutes? If you are going from Boardwalk to DTD, it would be about 20 minutes to the Marketplace from the Boardwalk. Another 5 to Westside.

Plus if you are going during the day, it will probably also stop at Typhoon Lagoon after DTD and before the Epcot resorts.

No direct waterway, so no boat.

10 minutes by car.
45 minutes by bus.

45 min is really an exaggeration, it doesnt take that long.

It can take that long if you consider wait times and other stops. Taking a bus to/from Downtown Disney is always a pain. I remember one time we took the boat from OKW to DTD. It had stopped running by the time we wanted to return. It took almost an hour to get back to OKW, which is practically around the corner. The bus took awhile to come, then waited for passengers at the DTD stop, then the PI stop, then the WS stop (that is gone now). I was going nuts. That wasn't the first time we had a hard time getting back, but it was the last time we took a bus. I would never go without a rental car.

no there is no boat from the boardwalk to dtd. the friendship boats from the boardwalk go to epcot & mgm. you could take your car or the bwi bus to dtd. the bus ride in our experience from bwi to dtd is about 30mins.
