How long does this ride take and anyone know how often it goes?

Is this a direct ride or are there various stops?

We have a ressie at 7:20 at Contemporary, wondering when we should leave WL?

Thanks!

I'd try to leave by 6:30 at the latest. I hope you mean PM by the way. It seemed that sometimes the boat went from WL to FW to CR and sometimesit went straight there. Hey Shan, how's the ice up there? We're in Columbus and surprisingly it's still hanging around here. :(

The Blue launch runs 6:45am - 10 pm every day. There are generally 2 boats running, 1 clockwise, the other counter clockwise. They only have 3 stops, WL/CR/FW. They run every 20 minutes. The ride from WL to CR is less than 5 minutes. If you 1st go to FW, it's abt 10 minutes. If you are at the dock 30 minutes before your PS, you should have plenty of time.

Thanks!

I just did some last minute rearranging to our trip.

rcraw45425, it is pretty icy. (I'm in Marietta.) Our lights keep flickering and I'm worrying. Hubby walked outside and heard the power lines making some odd sizzling noise!

I'm just glad it did it this weekend instead of next or our WDW trip would have got messed up! (It is only for three nights!)

Shan, we have a fairly long winding driveway. DH worked 8P-8A last night had to drive over one tree and under two to get to the house :earseek: We went out this afternoon and cut the trees up and moved off the driveway. I had two cars in the garage last night but the power went out at 5:45 AM and we had to use the generator this morning! We' actually leaving on Wed now, ready to get out of this mess!

Somepixiedust, yes but you'll have to change monorails at the TTC (ticket & transportation center)

:wave2:

You could, but it would take a very long time. The boat ride takes about 5 minutes, then there is a 5 minutes walk from the boat to the monorail. The you have to wait for the monorail. Then you have to change monorails at the TTC to get the monorail that goes to Epcot.

I'm not a fan of Disney busses, but if I didn't have a car (we always get one now after some bad bus experiences) I would not go the way you are suggesting. I'd take the bus to avoid all of that transferring and save some time.

The Wilderness Lodge has a bus that it shares with Ft Wilderness Campground, bus stop #1. The bus will take you to TTC the buses run every few minutes and the ride is only 2 minutes to the TC, from there you can board the EPCOT Monorail. This route would be much faster then taking the boat to the CR or the MK, then boarding the Resort Monorail back to TTC.

30 mins will give you plenty of time by boat.

Thanks for all the info. Sounds like there are a few options. We'll be travelling with someone who has trouble with steps, so they'd rather not do the buses, but at this point we may have a car also, so maybe we'll just drive. Thanks for all the responses! It's so nice to be able to go and have so much stuff planned out already! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

That is a nice way to kick off an adults night with a boat ride from VWL to CR - enjoy it Shan!

Cheers

Just wanted to let you know that there are a couple of steps down into the boat. Also, the newer busses have only a couple of steps up to the first level of the bus so the number of steps would be about the same for the newer bus and the boat
