How early does it start running? We are deciding if we want to do the new character meal for bfast or lunch, but need to know how early the boats to MGM start running.

WDW transportation usually starts about an hour prior to park opening - buses, boats and monorail.

If you need to get there earlier, it's an easy walk from BWV to the Studios- no more than about 15 minutes along the canal on a nice paved walkway.

Enjoy!

We always walk...the boat takes forever. It stops at bw, bc/yc, swan,
dolphin and moves very slow. We have walked next to boats and always
get there first. If you are going to go by boat go as early as possible.

The boats are slow.......we walked back from the Fantasmic show and beat the boat back to the BWV. As the above post says...it stops everywhere and we had our little ones in tow. But still the kids like the boat rides to and from the parks as long as we aren't late for anything.

I vote for walking as well. Its a really nice walk. Depending on the time the boat can get pretty crowded.

Just got back and I think I figured out the routes:

Epcot - BWV - BC/YC - Swan/Dolphin - MGM

MGM - Swan/Dolphin - BC/YC - BWV - Epcot

So if you just wanted to go to Epcot, there's no stops in between, but if you're wanting to go to MGM, then yes, a walk isn't so bad.

In fact the boat captains, almost recommend that BWV'ers get off at Swan/Dolphin, and walk to their resort.

Yes the boats are slow but I love riding them. I'll take the boats whenever I can.
