Boat accident

Holy cow.

Pete, I'll let you handle this one for me.

He thought that the ferry was going to move for them??? :sad2:

"the victim's husband, was driving the boat when the crash happened. He stated that he believed the ferry was going to move away for him and his wife,"

OMG !! Really ???
I seriously think that someone should check to see if this guy has recently taken out a big policy on his wife ?!?!

Dude honestly thought that a two story, 500 passenger ferry, was gonna move outta his way

Wow,,that poor woman.....

He probably thinks semi's should stop on the X-way for him when he comes down the ramp too!:crazy2:

I agree with Frank. Somebody needs to be checking to see if that idiot has recently taken a big life insurance policy out on his wife. Poor woman.

Holy cow.

Pete, I'll let you handle this one for me.

I just don't know what to say.... This could be my nominee for the Darwin Disney awards for 2010. Like they told us in boating safety class, the sailboat has the right of way when the aircraft carrier is approaching. They can put it on your tombstone if you like......

BIG BOAT RULE, page 1, paragraph 1, sentence 1 in Boating Guide For A Dummy, "Never assume a boat BIGGER than your boat is going to stop for you, duh"

Similar to my FIL with his way of thinking when he's turning left across 2 lanes of oncoming traffic, "Not My Side".

It appears it was the pontoon ferry that shuttles people from the Riverside Resorts to downtown Disney. Not that it makes any difference. The shuttle boat drivers run that route HOW MANY times a day? It's doubtful the captain would do something so heinous as to purposely run down a searaycer. My money is on the vacationer being at fault. Too many brewski's and a trip in a searaycer. Perhaps a good insurance policy beats many months in lawyers offices hashing out common property with the lawyers ending up with most of it.

Now that's just a special kind of stupid!!! Thanks for the morning laugh. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Okay, I'm not laughing at the injuries to the woman, but at her husband's stupidity. And I'm in the camp that thinks either he has a huge policy on her or he just got tired of her crap. I can see my FIL doing something like this to my MIL. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry, but this guy is a MORON and I am being polite. He would probably blame the train if he was walking on the tracks.

I'll bet you he sues and there will some Whaaambulance Chaser who takes is case.

Hope Disney defends this for all it's worth and should sue the Guy for damages to both boats if he does.

I bet Thanksgiving and Christmas are fun at their house. :lmao:
Oh yeah, that's why no one goes over there. :lmao: Seriously, a cop let my FIL out of ticket one time because she was harping on him the entire time the officer was looking over his paperwork. He handed it back and said "You have bigger issues. Have a good day." :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, the ferry ran into their boat. I agree, check for the additional life insurance. He must have STUPID tatooed across his forhead, or atleast thinks everyone does.

As a once and long time boat owner, my biggest fear the whole time I was on the water where the jet skis. (sorry Jen) but they made my life miserable on the lake. Way too many uneducated people who would just ride those things anywhere they felt like without any regard to boaters. My boat weighed almost 7000 lbs, and could do 70 mph, and jet skiers would cut in front of me all the time. I could not relax at all when I was in my boat, I always had to be on the edge of my seat looking out for them. And our house had a large lot right behind it, and at least 2 time a summer one of them would be life flighted out because they lost their fight with a boat. I firmly believe that they have every right to be on the lake, but I also think they should have a common sense test before they are... :lmao:

This is almost the same situation, boats do not have brakes! You are in a the equivilent of a golf cart playing chicken with an 18 wheeler, P=MV people, and you are gonna loose! It's sad to say, but this will be like so many other things at Disney, it will probably be the end of the sea racers. :(

I'm betting that otters and beer had something to do with this........

Sometimes I just think that people take stupid pills when they get on Disney property. It might be the most magical place on earth, but it's not immune to the every day occurances of life. Why can't people just think???
