Which one would you pick and why? We are not big pool people, since we spend most of the time in the parks. Which one is closer to Epcot? I always read about the long walks to the rooms at BW, how can this be if the the resort has under 400 rooms?

Boardwalk is a little shorter walk to the Int'l entrance of Epcot. But not by that much, maybe five or ten minutes longer to Yacht Club?

I've never stayed at BWI and am intriqued by some of the quiet courtyard facing rooms, garden suites, etc. And the lobby is great. BUT there is no real restaurant on site - you have to go to the Boardwalk restaurants. Because of that, I prefer the Yacht Club. Though they are both beautifully appointed hotels and you can't go wrong with either.

I believe these comments are about the DVC Boardwalk Villas.

We've stayed at the BWI three times. It is our favorite. However, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Yacht Club, either. They are both lovely resorts. You cannot make a mistake, in my opinion.

I prefer the ambience of the YC over the BW. The YC's decor also makes it seem classier and quieter (IMHO).

We stayed at the Yacht Club in May and loved the walk to and from Epcot. The Beach Club looked to be the closest, but the Boardwalk didn't seem too much further.
The rooms at BWI might be a little noiser if you had a room over the night-time action.

They are both beautiful resorts. The BW is a little noisier w/ a little more going on during the day. The YC is very quiet. If the pool is not an issue. Either one would work. YC has the best pool IMO. I love the BW area. Are you getting a water view room? I love our BWview room. I love to sit out on the balcony early in the morning as the sun rises, and to watch the fireworks in Epcot at night. As another poster has said, the restaurants for the BW are all down on the BW. I think they serve some sort of breakfast in the bar in the lobby, but not sure. The restaurants at YC are indoors. You must try Beaches n' Cream at the YC. Very fun. You can't go wrong w/ either resort. If you aren't in the mood to walk, you can always take the boat launch to either MGM or Epcot WS. The boat rides are one of my favorite things about staying in the Epcot resort area.
