Has anybody stayed in the 2 bedroom villa at Boardwalk? I would love to hear about it. We are considering staying there in December!!

We will be staying there for our first time this December. Cant wait.

Tink&PrincessMom,
You should go to the DVC forum and post your questions...they're a friendly bunch of people who will be more than happy to answer them. We've only stayed in a 1BR since there's just three of us in the family, but we love it!
:D

What would you like to know? There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, the other with a queen bed and sofa sleeper. There is also a sofa sleeper in the living area, for a total capacity of 8. There is a complete kitchen, and a washer/dryer.

Any other questions?

Aas an added note, the 2BRs at BWV are not "dedicated" 2BRs; they're a 1BR and a connecting studio unit. :D

I have stay twice in a two-bedroom at BWV we loved both and had great trips.
First stay we had a Boardwalk View my Dad was in heaven he liked just seating out on the balconies and watching everyone. Second stay we had a view of Keister Coaster water slide we also enjoyed watching the little ones build up their courage to go down the slide.
Unless you have stayed at an EPCOT Resort I don't believe you can truley enjoy EPCOT & MGM as much, I know I never did until I stayed there.

They are great! Tip: Unless you need one do not accept a handicap room. They gave us one this past Sept (all they had left they said). You loose the closet in the studio and vanity space in the bathrooms. I should have insisted, but the view of the pool was very nice and nobody else seemed to mind. Plus the fact I felt bad that I may have taken a room that someone actually needed. Oh well next time...

Thanks guys!!! Can anyone tell me what the standard view is? Is it better to go ahead and pay extra for the preferred view? Also, our kids range from 5 to 16. Will everybody have plenty to do?

Are you renting points or booking a cash reservation? I'm told they'll always upgrade a cash customer over a DVC reservation. There is a problem with giving preferential treatment to some DVC members.

NO GUARANTEE and not as sure with a 2 bedroom but there is a reasonable chance you'll wind up with a free upgrade. NOT A BOARDWALK VIEW but more likely a pool view.

Cash rooms through CRO are all booked as standard, they do not split out standard and preferred for cash reservations like they do for DVC members. It's more of a "run of house" situation, you get whatever they have available at check-in.

Early December is usually soldout at BWV. I checked in on Saturday Dec 6 last year (DVC member, made res in January) and they mentioned that they were soldout for that night. So I would make your plans as soon as possible.

Two things I will add, not as negatives, but as points of information:

1. The standard view we stayed in gave us a view of the entrance. I enjoyed watching all the comings and goings, and the lights at night were pretty, so it didn't bother me. If, however, your vacation will be ruined looking at the entrance from your deck, get a preferred view.

2. If you open the pullout couch in the livingroom for someone to sleep on, it pretty much takes up all the floor space. If you don't need the pullout, then don't open it.

You're right, it changed since I stayed there. The are charging the same as BCV which implies a preferred view. Since DVC members were grabbing the standard views (to save points) makes sense not to keep giving our free upgrades.
