So doing a cash stay in May for a weekend. The Florida resident rate and Annual Pass rate have studio rooms at the Villas and the hotel side at the same price. We are just two and don’t need the kitchenette area but it’s nice to have. My question is I have heard that the Villas are being refurbished will they be done by end of May or am I mistaken and the hotel rooms are being refurbished?
at the same price which one should I choose

You have them reversed the Inn rooms are being refurbished. The last half are being done now so should be easily done before the end of May. I would vote for a new refurbished Inn room and much shorter hallways.

Awesome Thanks!

New to Boardwalk! Taking a short mom/daughter mid August and were going to stay a night at Boardwalk.

Three room types are available for the same price - Standard View; Deluxe Studio Standard View, and Boardwalk Villas - Deluxe Studio standard view. Which of these would be the best option? We'd REALLY like a balcony! Not sure what's going on with renovations as well. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks so much!

The ones with Deluxe are DVC Villas. Standard will overlook the Outside part where the buses and parking are and road is. Can not say what the regular standard view will have a view of. Boardwalk Villa? I would guess this is a Boardwalk View DVC. On DVC it specifies Deluxe studio Boardwalk View. and they are more expensive so I do not understand why they are the same price as the worst view compared the best view--however some do not like BW view as they can be close to Jelly roles which in the end would have the best view of the EPCOT fireworks but also have some noise with people coming and going. Noise does not bother me so I would take the BW view especially if you are there for one night.

My understanding is that BW Villas standard view for cash is the same as Pool/Garden view for points. The BW view villas tend to go to owners’ points reservations at 11 months out and so do the points standard views (of the front driveway), so I’m not sure what the distinction is between the two standard views on the cash site.

In any case, the Studio villas will have one queen bed, one double pullout sofa bed, and a bunk size Murphy bed as well as a drip coffee pot, mini fridge, microwave, toaster and kitchenette sink. The Inn rooms have 2 queen beds, no sofa, and only a coffee pot (Keurig?) and mini fridge or beverage cooler, no toaster or microwave.

Thanks so much! Do both have balconies? I love a good view!

Ah, just looked at the cash booking site and see that they indeed list BW view, P/G view and Standard view but didn’t check availability. Standard view should be cheaper, but if you can get BW view that’s what I’d want! However, there are a lot of nice views in the P/G category.

Yes, all BWV studios have balconies (or patios on ground floor). In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the map: https://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/BoardWalkMap.pdf. The P/G views are of the Croquet Court, Luna Park pool, Community Hall (Quiet pool), and Village Green, though the last one is hard to get due to very few villas and being highly requested!
