Hello,

Can any one comment on how hard it is to get a 1-bedroom villa at the Boardwalk Villas for the last 2 weeks of August? We would be renting points and hopefully getting home resort points, so I am thinking at the 11 month window.

I know the crowds are traditionally low at that time (not withstanding the upcoming changes with Star Wars land), but just not sure how hard it is to get rooms.

Thanks in advance.

You'll be fine. 1BRs are the easiest units to get in DVC because of the premium paid vs. a studio.

Across the board, last two weeks of August are low DVC time and 1BRs tend to be the last room category to book up.

At 11 months, BWV end of August will be easy peasy. You could probably even find success at 7 months across all three view types.*

*ETA: Based on historical observation; does not factor in potential SWGE affect.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I appreciate it. Just to clarify, this would be for August 2020.

Be aware that you may have a good chance to get a 1BR standard or boardwalk view for that time at 7 months out, not just pool/garden view, if you attempt to make the reservation right at 8 a.m. at 7 months out.

I had no problem getting a garden/pool view studio at 7 months this year for 8/18-28. A 1 BD will be even easier.

Very easy, pool and garden and in fact you may stand a decent chance of a standard. I keep a really close eye on 7 month availability in 1 beds.

We could have booked a one-bedroom garden view at BWV for 8/18-23, but opted for another resort. As of today it’s still available for 175 points, although I realize you’re looking at 2020.
