My family returned from our WDW vacation last Friday. We stayed at the Boardwalk we had three one bedroom villas, there were 11 of us. The second day my two granddaughters who slept in the pull out sofa bed in room 3093 woke up with bites on their legs and arms. We thought perhaps it was from being out at night, although no one else had any bites.
Upon our return home they were both taken to be seen by their doctor and were diagnosed with scabies. I called the Boardwalk and could not get anyone to talk to me regarding this issue. I didn't want anyone else sleeping in that sofa bed until it was treated.
I called several times including DVC Customer Service and reported the problem. Hopefully they checked it out.

It is weird because they go through active and dormant cycles.
We ended up purchasing an entirely new mattress, bed linens and pillows to ensure that we were rid of them.
Unfortunately, it is a risk people take when they stay in hotels.
