Boardwalk Villa studio question ...

I'm going to be making a reservation at the Boardwalk Villas in a few days for our June trip. I just made our reservation at BCV and when she checked availability for a Boardwalk view at BWV in a few days from now there weren't any available ... however, when I do make the reservation in a few days what is a good preferred view? I'll also waitlist for a Boardwalk view and just see how that goes.

This is our 25th anniversary  and we're breaking up our stay between BCV, BWV, and SSR (our "home" resort). As I mentioned earlier I already made the BCV reservation today but didn't give a preference on view because they said the Epcot and water views are not available anymore. Is there a nice view at BCV studio I can request too?

Since this is a special trip for us I just wanted to get some great views but realize that "hey, we're at Disney!!" so all will be well. :goodvibes Our honeymoon was at Disney when it was only Magic Kingdom (they were constructing Spaceship Earth at the time).

Thanks! pixiedust:

BCV - ask for a woods view - if you get the epcot view - remember there is the road to BC/YC and a service road to the Epcot stuff.

BWV - I would ask for the quiet pool view or lagoon view. don't ask for the main pool view - I learned to hate that clown. I always asked for anything but that view and I ALSO got the view I hated....

We had a preferred view overlooking the Village Green, 5th floor (room 5057). So it was a partial BW view and we could see Spaceship Earth and the high Illuminations fireworks:

Close to the elevator too! :thumbsup2

We've had both views at BWV and to us it really doesn't matter. Cheapo that I am I prefer to save pts. In July we had a lakeview, but didn't get to see it much. Actually found it a bit annoying trying to drink morning coffee on the balcony with everyone looking up.

Remember, this time of year it gets dark early and there's less to see. You can see some of the higher fireworks at Illuminations, but since we're that close we usually just walk over and see it up close.

I secretly enjoy the rooms by the Salleyport. Sometimes it's fun to watch the valets run to get cars, and to see guests arriving and leaving.

As far as a preferred view, I'd ask for a quiet pool or main pool view. We had a canal view, but it was primarily a view of the valet parking lot and a service area driveway. We could see the TOT if we stood out on our balcony and turned to the right. Next time, if I had a PV room, I will request a pool view.

Good luck asking for a woods view. It's my favorite view, but MS insists to me that there's no such view option. I even tried "overlooking trees", but I guess they caught on to what I was really trying. So this last time I tried asking for "quiet area" and got the most beautiful (at least I thought) view:

I loved being able to see the Eifel tower

And I had a great view of the higher Illuminations fireworks:

Again, thanks for the advice. I'll be calling tomorrow morning to book the BWV studio - probably preferred view (trying for Village Green or quiet pool view) and waitlisting for boardwalk view. The points value doesn't bother me for this trip since it is so special. Not that our family vacations aren't special :grouphug: , but it's a big anniversary.

I'm also going to request the woods view or quiet pool view for my BCV reservation I made earlier.

Thank you so much and I'll let you know how it goes. pixiedust:

UPDATE: I called this morning and booked the BWV studio preferred view - even asked for quiet pool or village green view (even mentioned room 5057 per 2Princes2Princesses). I waitlisted for the boardwalk view to be automatically applied if it comes up. I'll just keep checking back - Woohoo! :cool1:

Also put a request in for BCV with woods or quiet pool view. Now I just have to wait until the beginning of December to place the ADR's. :goodvibes

Thanks all!! pixiedust:

I agree great view here.

The picture of the view in post #10 is really nice. Wish our preferred view could have been this nice. There are definitely very different kinds of preferred views at BWV.

cncDisney4 ~ Hoping you get a great view and also wishing you a very happy 25th anniversary :flower: :daisy: :flower1:
