I have read it is a queen bed and pull out sofa, however someone just posted pix in their room and they have a double bed and not a queen bed. Can someone confirm they are queen beds? We have a reservation there and a double bed would be an issue.

Studios at BWV have always had a queen bed with a double pull out. Now there is a bed in the TV housing. I have not seen that in person. The main bed has always been a queen.

I do not know the pix you are talking about, but studios at BWV have a queen bed and a double pull-out couch, and with refurb the pull-down not-quite-a-twin-size bed from the cabinet under the TV. The main bed has always been a queen and the sofa has always been a double.

All studios have queen beds with full-size pull-out sofas, with two exceptions:
1. PVB studios have queen beds with a queen pull-out sofa
2. OKW studios have two queen beds.

where is the post with the pic

Just checked out of a studio at BWV on Monday. We had a queen bed, a pull out murphy bed (smaller than a twin but great for a 9 year old) and a pull out couch.

This was the picture posted.
Did the person claim they stayed in that room and took that picture? Looking at the reflection of the light in the mirror, I'd guess that photo was taken with an extremely wide-angle lens and the perspective is skewed. In other words, the bed is bigger than it looks.

Here's the BVW rooms; note the change in perspective:

great example and looks like the same angle. She is staying in the room and said it was a double but according to your pix, it looks like a queen

Looking at the colors and theme in the BWV studio, are they going to change the name to Wilderness Walk Villas? Kind of like OKW should now be Old Beach Club West Villas.

Maybe someone can measure. A double is 54" wide, a queen 60" wide. I know when I'm in hotels, some beds seem bigger than others even though they are advertised as kings or queens. I think a lot depends on the size of the room, it can change perception.

Literally just toured them last night......queen, with double pull-out couch, and Murphy bed in the TV dresser.

I think that some people who have kings at home have forgotten what the size of a queen actually is. Now days I think a double seems more like I remember a twin to be! :rotfl:

I believe the headboard is still that same as it was previously which was a queen. Also, I toured the model several months ago and it was staying the same config of queen bed and double sleeper.

I just slept in one all last week and it was the same bed size that I've slept in there since I bought in 2000. Not the same mattresses though! The mattress definitely improved a few years back.

Maybe someone can measure. A double is 75" wide, a queen 80" wide. I know when I'm in hotels, some beds seem bigger than others even though they are advertised as kings or queens. I think a lot depends on the size of the room, it can change perception.

Those are the figures for the Length of double & queen beds. The Widths are actually 54" for a Double & 6o" for a Queen. So the standard sizes are 54" wide by 75" long for a Double and 60" wide by 80" long for a Queen.

Thanks for the correction!
