- Boardwalk villa’s don’t have the sleeper chair. We had them bring up an air mattress.
- No waffles. They have egg sandwiches in the bakery, but you have to walk to Beach Club to get Mickey Waffles.
- Quick service food choices get kind of boring after a few days. You only have what’s on the boardwalk. Meaning there is no cafeteria type service at Boardwalk.

Don’t get me wrong. The boardwalk is a great place to stay. We love it for the convenience of being able to walk to HS and to Epcot. Just added a few things we found out that other Villa’s have had that we missed.

I am happy that you were able to get the air mattress. They don’t usually do that.

You were extremely lucky to get them to deliver an air mattress. When you go to the website it says
1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size sleeper sofa
5th guest can be accommodated, but please note that no additional bedding, linens or towels will be provided.
You can always cook in your villa. Or walk over to the other side of the water to the Swan, Dolphin, YC or BC. If you are used to moderate or value resorts, you won't find a food court at any deluxe resort. Maybe a smaller counter service, but not a food court.

we usually find that we just walk to get breakfast and more coffee. It seems to get everybody more motivated, as we have some real slow pokes in our group.

Every DVC resort and villas have their own quirks. Before you try another resort that is new to you, it would be worthwhile to ask questions about it here on this board. Those of us who have been around a long time and visited many resorts can answer any questions you might have.

For instance, many of the DVC resorts don't have the sleeper chair. Some have an extra bathroom. Some have drop down beds and others do not. Some resorts have limited counter service while others have pretty good ones.

I'm glad you still enjoyed your stay at BWV. And I agree with others...you got a lot of pixie dust with the air mattress. :)

Thank you, Granny. We have stayed at the Boardwalk twice before, but couldn't remember if they had the pull out chair or not. Our home resort is Bay Lake Tower, and they have them, along with the Contemporary's cafeteria style food. Right before we left I tried to search on here regarding the pull out chair and couldn't find it anywhere, so that's why I decided to list it, in case others were wondering too. With all the Villa's and all of them being different, it's hard to keep them all straight. I am VERY glad they gave us an air mattress. Disney does try to make you happy.

So talk to me about this fifth person bed thing. I’ve rented points for a boardwalk view studio. Is there a sleeping surface, but I need a sheet and blanket? My DD3 will utilize it, but if she needs a blanket I want to bring one.

A studio has a queen bed, double.sofa and a murhy bed.

A one bedroom has a king bed and a double sofa.

I've owned at BWV for 20 years and my one downside is the lack of quick service similar to Captain Cooks, Roaring Fork, etc. It has gotten better since 1999, the bakery has more selections and there are stands on the boardwalk with some fast food.

soooo.....does the studio have bed linens for the 5th person? Or not?
Yes, it does. There are linens for all the bed spaces in the studio - the queen bed, the double sofa bed and the single Murphy bed.

The issue with BWV 1-BR is that they only have bed space for four people - one king bed and one queen sofa bed. After they added the single Murphy to the studios, people complained about 5 people being allowed in studios but only four allowed in 1-BR. So DVC started allowing people to bring air mattresses, etc. so a fifth person could stay in the 1-BR. But they don’t provide a bed or linens for that 5th person. That’s why PPs said that the OP received pixie dust.

Any time there is a bed, there are linens.

The issue in a 1BR is there is no bed for your 5th, and Disney will not provide said bed or linens for the non existent bed.

Oh! I have to admit part of my confusion was why a studio would sleep five but a one bedroom wouldn’t. Thanks for the explanation! It’s good to know we are good with the studio.
