Boardwalk View

I just received a confirmation from BWV for my upcoming trip and I was curious as to why they sent me a confirmation that said my resevation changes were made for me. I called and told them that I made no changes and was wondering why they sent me a confirmation. I also asked what changes were made. They told me that it was changed because I was going to have the Boardwalk view that I requested, has that happened to anyone else? That was such awesome news and I hope it is true.

Member Services has begun confirming your view for the last month or so. That way you can be sure you will have that view.

Yes, it happened to me. I have a BWV 1BR PV reserved for President's week and requested Boardwalk view. I got another confirmation letter saying I got the Boardwalk view!!!! My DD would still rather stay at BCV, but I told her we'd probably never again be able to get Boardwalk view since we don't own points there. Guess we just got lucky.

To give you the actual background. DVC has decided to make the BWV view a separate category which will be booked separately. That way you'll know if you have it OR not. They had to go back and modify the existing reservations accordingly and you got lucky. Your confirmatin should say BW view on it, if not, you may not have it in spite of what you were told.
