Best room requests for a boardwalk view 1 bedroom? Based on touring plans the ones all the way at the end of the hall look like the best view (don’t mind the long walk), does anyone have experience with these rooms or other 1 bedrooms to put a request in for?

Had the end of the hall great room, luck of the draw. Touring plans requests have never worked for me. I don't think they do a thing.
Thanks for the reply! I’ve never used the touring plans request but I’ve called DVC member services and put in room requests in the past for other resorts and they’ve been honored about 50/50… maybe I’ve been lucky with that though

Upper floor and away from the elevators. We had a 2BR boardwalk view last month and we're assigned a 2nd floor room (lobby level). It was above the Screen Door, so no one was below us except the nightly entertainment that set up directly beneath our balcony. Seriously, they were right UNDER the balcony in the alcove between the entrances to the Screen Door and Thimbles and Threads. The noise level was unbelievable.

Here’s a diagram of the BW view rooms. As you can see, most of the 1BR are on the far end. I’d request High Floor to minimize noise from below.

Yeah we don’t mind a lil noise, but that does not sound pleasant. I think I’ll be requesting high floor, away from elevators. Not sure if asking for crest the wave building is too specific but that area seems perfect.

Yes definitely want high floor! Do you think there is a difference in dedicated vs lock off or does it not matter?
To me, it matters only in terms of possibly hearing your neighbors via the door connecting the living room to the studio that makes it a 2BR. As you can see from the diagram, there are relatively few dedicated 1BR, shown in yellow.

Amazing I think I’m hoping for 5001/5003 or 4001/4003 then! Thanks to you and everyone else for the help!

I run a little bit counter to many here, because my preferred Boardwalk view rooms are the ones that have the giant balconies that are fully enclosed. They are mostly on the 2nd floor, plus a few on the top floor. The balcony spaces are many times larger than most of the others, and remain perfectly usable even in rain - the fully 'boxed' balconies are also extremely private. But some people hate them because they have solid rails facing the boardwalk, so if you're sitting, you can't see much of a view out. I like being able to sit out there reading and relaxing without having to get dressed up just to sit outside - I often stand at the rail and watch for a bit, enjoy the views, and then sit. I agree in general higher floors and farther down the end of the hall have the best overall views.

Ooh interesting, do you happen to know room numbers (or have pics) so I can look on touring plans?

2011, 2017, 2033, 2039, 2041, 2043, and 2049 on the second floor. I've been in 2011 4 times and really like that room as it's far enough down to get a decent view towards Epcot.

This is the view from 2011:

And this is the view from 2049 - the roofline is lower and curved - they're located over the store:

Beware, we stayed in 4011/4013 a refurbished 2 bedroom. 4013 was the 1 bed section. The main bedroom had a flaw in the way the curtains were hung, leaving a 3 inch gap of window exposed which would be a problem for me at times of the year when sunrise is early. I brought it to the attention of the front desk, and MS. It might have been corrected. It was a fantastic view. Sometimes you get what you want, and then there's something like this.

I had one of those rooms, nice size of the balcony. It would have been good to have some more patio chairs and maybe a table.

Thanks for letting me know! I normally sleep with eye covers so nothing that can’t solve hopefully 😂 plus I’m a be there well before rope drop type of person, so I don’t think that would be an issue. My primary goal is best views , however those large balconies seem really tempting and also have gorgeous views.

The big balcony is really tempting. I can definitely see us sitting on the balcony at night to wind down after the parks.
