Boardwalk view?

Is Boardwalk view a separate category of room for BWV? The points charts I've seen online only list standard or preferred. thanks

The boardwalk view is considered a preferred view as is the swiming pool or garden. You have to specify you want the boardwalk view when you make a reservation. Don't just request a preferred view and assume you will get the boardwalk view if that is what you want. The points are the same.

Because boardwalk view has always been the most popular of the preferred views (and if you have seen the different preferred views you would know why), they went to a system a few years back where you can specifically request and be guaranteed the boardwalk view (but points are the same as any preferred view). The net result is that boardwalk view is very often something only BWV owners can get when using the 11 month ressie window.

I pay the extra points for the boardwalk views, instead pf standard at the 11 month.
