What is best way to get from Boardwalk to Yacht and Beach? Can you walk? If so, how far is it?

It's about a 5 minute walk. Or you can take the boat to Epcot from the YC boat dock. The next stop will be the Boardwalk. But really, it is a very quick walk. From BC you head towards Epcot & take the bridge on the right to Boardwalk. From the YC it is easier to walk towards Swan & Dolphin & take left to Boardwalk.

It's a big circle connecting the three resorts. You can get from one side to the other in under five minutes. It's a beautiful area.
That's great. Wanted to head over as we've never been there. What is best place to eat at either Boardwalk or Yacht and Beach using one table service credit?

Yachtsman Steakhouse, but it it may be more than 1 credit. Not real familiar with the DP.

Yachtsman's is 2 credits. There are so many places to eat there, best place is very subjective. Captain's Grill is nice, Cape May Cafe is popular, Boardwalk has a lot of places too. Best idea is to check menus & see what appeals to you.

Indeed we do enjoy Cape May if they are up for a buffet.

Captain's Grille says that it will under refurbishment from may to fall 2017 (we are going in August) and is being moved to Ariel's. What is Ariels?

Ariel's is just inside the BC entering from Stormalong Bay/ Beaches & Cream enterance. It use to be the BC's signature restaurant but is now only used for special or private events.

I agree. Best is totally subjective.
Who is in your party? What are their ages? What types of food do you enjoy?
You should look at the menus here on the DIS and at allears.net to see what appeals to you. All restaurant menus are there. Then you can come back and ask for specific thoughts on specific restaurants that appeal to your party.

Here is an aerial photo of the Boardwalk area as it relates to Epcot's World Showcase. You may get a sense of size that way (presuming you've been to Epcot before).

We stayed at the BWV this August and I have to say that we enjoyed Big River Grill very much. They had an awesome grilled chicken and avocado sandwich and the homemade chips were really good too. Iced tea and lemonade have free refills. Captain's Grill has a good breakfast (you can do the buffet but we did the sit down and I had the best eggs Benedict). Chefs de France is really good and only 1 credit. Teppan Edo's food is very good and it's a good value because you get your choice of beef, chicken, shrimp, salmon (I think) or tofu, plus you get vegetables, noodles and free refills on non-alcoholic beverages too. ESPN is good "pub grub" but nothing you can't get at any other chain restaurant.

If you decide to take the boat over, you want to take the DHS boat....the YC/BC is the next stop after leaving BW.
As far as restaurants go....I like Big River Grill. I like Cape May's breakfast buffet. I like to eat at Picabu in the Dolphin, but that isn't on the ddp.

Agree with above posters, Big River Grill is very good. Our favorite seafood buffet is Cape May dinner buffet. Both are one DP credit. There is a newer Italian place at BW, I have not tried it yet, but will this trip.
