We stayed one night at boardwalk villas Sunday 3/7/21 and planned for the day at DHS, leaving mid to late afternoon on 3/8/21. We got BG 55 for Rise. Packed up the car which was parked very near bus stop. Arrived briefly at the bus stop at 7:20am. The bus board said "use skyliner" for Studios. We quickly walked to the Epcot area skyliner (with a line). The boats were not yet running. Didn't realize there would be such a long line to transfer at CBR. The line took 30 minutes to get back on the skyliner to the studios and we entered the park at 8:40 am. By the time we arrived at the studios the boats were running. Wished we would have either just waited for the boats, or walked to the studios from the resort. My husband had back surgery last year, so we were trying to avoid extra walking - as in walking from the resort to the park. Felt so bad for those with small children/strollers and ECV's and wheelchairs. The long sad faces at the CBR skyliner area was awful. Posting so others are aware (I really thought I read that we could use bus transportation to that park from the boardwalk - my bad, I guess!).
Needless to say, the park was very crowded. over a half hour wait for M&M runaway railway (was posted as 45 mins), 20 minutes for Muppets, is all we did besides Rise of the resistance. Ate lunch and left about 1pm. We were glad it wasn't really hot with all the lines outside now (including muppets). We were going to do TSM but the line was down to Walt Disney Presents area. Galaxy's Edge was so crowded, and there were long lines just to shop. I wasn't as familiar with that area (was there just once before covid) so I felt overwhelmed. We were celebrating our adult son's birthday, he flew down and met us at Disney. Thankfully, our resort day on Sunday was fantastic. Here is a picture (if it works...haven't posted a picture here in years lol) at CBR skyliner transferring (out and around the facility).
