Boardwalk to contemporary transportation Questions

What is the best way to use Disney Transportation to get from the Boardwalk Resort To the Contemporary Resort.

I would like to not go all the way to the bus terminal at the magic kingdom but if that is the only way then that's alright.

You could walk through Epcot and then take the monorail to the Contemporary.

But if it were me, I'd take a taxi.

Fastest way would be by taxi.

You can take the bus to the MK and walk to the CR (it's a short 5-10 minute walk).

Or you can walk over to the Studios and take the bus to the CR (it will be faster to walk to the Studios from the BW and take a bus than to walk through Epcot and take two monorails).

taxi is quickest, but it's not WDW transpo. will cost $15 with tip.

bus to MK from the resort, then walk over. No more than 5-6 minute walk, at a normal pace.

walk through EPCOT, take the monorail to TTC, then switch to resort monorail. I am guessing that will take you no less than 40 minutes, and that may be too conservative of an estimate.

walk/boat to MGM, then bus to CR (but you are in the same 'waiting for a bus' situation you would encounter, from the original resort).

Lots of options, just have to find the one that fits your needs.

We walked to the TTC and took the monorail..it took about 30 minutes tops.

thanks for the info that is a lot to think about...I think we will probably just go directly to the magic kingdom from the resort...no transfers that way.

I would take the bus to MK, then take the resort monorail to Contemporary Resort (it's the first stop from MK plus it's air conditioned with a great view!).

The monorail is in the opposite direction from the CR. By the time you made it to the monorail you would be at least halfway to the CR. I say walk the whole way to the CR!

I also agree that it's much faster to just walk to the Contemporary. From the bus stop by the time you walk to the monorail you could be more than half way to the Contemporary. The total walk is 5-7 minutes from the MK entrance to the CR.
