Need suggestions for dinner at the Boardwalk. There will be four of us 2 adults and two children ages 8 and 4. We've never been to the Boardwalk and would like to go for dinner one night during our trip, but know nothing about the restaurants. Please help.

I voted for Spoodles. Dined here last November and the food & service was excellent. One of the best meals I've had at WDW!!

Don't forget about the ESPN zone. Great place for kids, lots of activity, TV's all over the place. The menu is burgers, sandwiches, chicken fingers etc. Typical sports bar food.

Aside from anything on the Boardwalk side, did you consider the short walk across the lake to Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club? They have characters there and your kids may enjoy that atmosphere more.

Plus, there is always Garden Grove at the Swan/Dolphin.

Just some suggestions...

We love the ESPN, and we're not especially die-hard sports fans either! Its just a fun atmosphere. Also, you're kids are going to be floored when they go to the potty! :lmao: My son still talks about the bathrooms there!

IMO opinion Flying Fish is the way to go.......potato wrapped snapper delicious and a flight of champagne...what could be better?
Spoodles we like for appetizers only......the shrimp is delicious.
ESPN is a TGI Fridays type waste of a meal IMO.

Spoodles is a great restaurant. The food is great as well as the service. It is a do not miss on our list when we go. Big River grille is good for lunch.:cloud9:

Someone else mentioned this too, but you may not realize that the Boardwalk is just across the small lake from the YC and BC. It is a VERY short walk from one to the other along a path that winds around the water. So if you are not sure what you want to eat, you may want to expand your search to restaurants in that area as well - Beaches and Cream, Yacht Club Galley, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Cape May. You are also just a short walk from the Swan/Dolphin and their restaurants. All of these places will still be close enough for you to walk around the boardwalk and soak up their atmosphere. JJ

We went with 2 boys ages 6 and 7. They loved Flying Fish. Paint the white chocolate puzzle was a favorite. The waiters were terrific and kept them occupied during dinner. Never heard a complaint from them!
