I will be staying in a preferred view I bedroom unit during October/November, when the external refurbishment along the Boardwalk is under way. I will be in one of the 'disabled' units, and all of these face towards Luna Park and/or MGM studios.

Does anyone know if the refurbishment will be both sides of the building, or just the side facing onto the Boardwalk? Will I have scaffolding in front of my balcony?

The announcement had the boardwalk rooms having scaffolding during that time, but of course did not necessarily say there would be nothing else. If they follow the same pattern as they did on the BWI side, they will do one large section at a time, like bordwalk, before going to another.

All the preferred view disabled units do not look over Luna Park or MGM. On our first trip to BWV we had a disabled room (not sure why as no one in our group is disabled). The room looked right over the Boardwalk. We were literally right over the little Cappucino booth on the Boardwalk.

Mikesmom,

I can only go by what I was told by our DVC sales agent. Maybe it is because I need a roll in shower. Perhaps I was given bad information.

Regarding your own assignment to a 'disabled' room, I guess they release them to all comers if no-one 'disabled' has checked in.

Andrew-
The room we had did have the roll in shower, curtain instead of shower door, the whole nine yards. If I can find the number, I'll let you know. Anyway, it's the same floor as the check in desk (which is considered 2nd floor) and it was right over the Cappucino cart, as I said. A wonderful room, we were just thrilled.
