Hi.

Are there any one bedrooms that look over onto the grassy knoll that also has a view of the boardwalk (even partial)?
I redid my subscription to TPs to look at the views, but I don't seem to see any and thought there were a few.

Thank you.

Actually, I think there is one 1 BR there, just at the corner over the Screen Door - we had that room once. We had booked BW view and initially complained but ended up liking the location. The balcony is huge, but we couldn't use it as they were painting the exterior that week. Sometime after that they reclassified those rooms as P/G view, probably because of all the complaints that they didn't truly have a view of the Boardwalk, just a slice of it. @js, you can submit a request for Village Green, but given how few 1 BRs have that view, don't depend on getting it.

Thank you both very much! I appreciate your help!
If I didn't request VG, would there be another area that has a view of any walkway to/from Epcot or MGM?
Boats?
Thank you so much!

Yes, many of the other G/P view rooms will have views of portions of the canal between Swan/Dolphin and DHS. I'd suggest making "water view" or "view of canal" your second request (I prefer to keep requests generic rather than asking for a specific room). Look at this map of Boardwalk Resort (https://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/boardwalk.htm) - the DVC villas are in the section on the left, and the G/P views are the ones that look onto the Croquet Court and the two pools. Depending on which room you get, you may have a view of the canal and/or a view of the pool. Many years ago DD and I had a lovely view of the canal as well as of the Tower of Terror, and on a later trip I spent probably an hour sitting on our balcony watching an eagle perched up on one of the Swans.

Thank you so much for your detailed response. I really appreciate it. I think if I have time at work tomorrow, Im going back on TP and search room by room.

Have realistic expectations of requests at BWV. Its been our home resort for twenty years and we have had ONE request met in all that time (and that was a trip where the reservation noted it was a celebratory "cancer recovery" trip with three generations and small children. We asked for rooms close to each other). I'm not sure we've ever had a "bad" room location, we've just never seen a "high floor" or "near the lobby" or any of the other requests people make. Turns out I like the middle of the resort where you are able to take the stairs without ending up winded.

We like floors 2 or three so we can take the stairs too! Even if we are on floor 4 or 5 we still take the stairs down, but we sometimes grab the elevator up for those floors. :)
