We will be at BI starting Nov 5th. and I have a few questions.

Is there room service and how many DDDP credits does it take? I'm not really interested in the pizza delivery.

I read that people ask for certain rooms. How do you do this? What rooms would be best if you want quiet?

How much do you tip housekeepers, bellhops and valet parkers?

Can we get bedrails for our kids or do we need to bring our own?

Does Boardwalk have back-up generators?

I'll probably have a lot more but these are highest in my mind right now. Thanks.

if you want quiet then ask for the 5 floor or the 3 floor with no one above you. you just ask at check in and if they have the rooms they will give it to you but if their sold out they might not be able to give you a high floor. if you want you can tip the valet 2 and bell hop may be 2-5 a bag it depends on what you will want to tip. I don't tip house keeping so not sure in that one they alway nice and never gave us a problem. I always stay their may be three times a year and they never lost power i am sure they have them on property and at the hotel. I sure you can get bed rails you might want to call and put it on your resveration just to make sure they have them when you check in. They have room service but not sure if you can use ddp on room service not saying you can't never tried.

They have a nice self parking lot close so if you don't want to valet park it you don't have to. If your room is noise then call front desk they will send security up and ask them to quiet down or they will try their best to move you the board walk inn management is great if you call to complain they wont have a problem making it right either giving you money back or moving you to another room. I would ask for the 5 floor facing the quiet pool because most of those rooms you might get a view of france in epcot and be able to see some of the fire works.

If you have any other question i will be more then happy to help the best i can.

your welcome if you have any other question i will be happy to help you have fun you will love the resort it is so nice. Plus being able to walk to epcot and dhs is one of the best parts.

Disney David, not to high jack this thread but it is a related Q.

Adult DD and I will be staying for the first time at Board Walk Villas in a standard studio. DD uses a wheel chair.

The person from whom we are renting the DVC points was asked and indicated they did request a wheel chair accessible room.

1. Where can I go to determine the location of wheel chair accessible rooms vis-a-vis the elevators (which as I understand are very few and far between and one could wind up with a room far, far away from the elevators)?

2. Where can I go to determine the location of the laundry (studios as you know do not have the stacked washer / dryer) vis-a-vis the elevators?

Many thanks,
Dan

Well for the rooms they scatter them through out the floors near the evaluator I think with the villa side it the right hallway if your looking at the front desk. So when you get through the hallway their will be the elevators and to the left are the rooms on the 2 floor they are long hallways the elvators will leave you in the middle where your have rooms to the right and left well at least for the inn side the villa might be different but both have long hallways. For the laundry nit sure never had to use it you might want to ask on the dvc for that one I am sure their someone who stayed in the villa part.

In the villa you be in a great location to walk to dhs because if you take those elevators to 1 then exit by the pool walk toward the water and their the path. We use the villa elevators to enter and exit from dhs. On the inn side they have a separate evaluator to get to the board walk where you can walk to epcot. You most likely will be very close to a elevator so you won't have to worry about being far away. Disney likes to build huge building with long hallways and only put one place for elevators.
