Boardwalk Inn or Beach Club? Never stayed at either

Boardwalk is a great resort but not many breakfast options and the pool is closed until sometime in march

Boardwalk Inn or Beach Club? :confused3 I like the thought of being on the Boardwalk. I also like Stormalong Bay. The pool at BW is awesome as well. I just want to walk to Epcot. That's my main thing. I have never stayed at either of them, so your input or experience is highly valued. :)

My bold italics, but you hit the nail on the head as far as why we stay at Beach Club. It's so nice in that area and all the resorts are so wonderful, but when it comes down to it we stay at BC because, especially if we request it, we can be as close to IG as we can possibly be. We love WS with all it's wonderful restaurants and entertainment, and it's not unusual for us to take that walk over there two or three times a day. So, for us it comes down to being not just close to EPCOT, but closest to EPCOT in our choice of resorts.

Wherever you choose it will be a fantastic stay, and sure hope you have a great time, luvdisney77.

with toddler thru 9yo(ish), i would vote BC - the pool and character meals being the big draws. some BC balconies ae SRO, as pp noted.

with pre-teen, teens, and adults, BWI/BWV. entertainment is right downstairs, and views are amazing. we find these resorts quieter (BC/BCV tends to have more little kids, lots of noise, and a more chaotic feel). all balconies are full.

EPCOT close to both (at BC, it takes longer to walk to the lobby, then down the lonnnnng walkway; at BWI, it is a short walk to the BW, then maybe a minute of walking along the BW itself), and DHS about a 15-20 min stroll. mini-golf is nearby.

i think one of my favorite things about the BWI/BWV (besides BW view, of course:thumbsup2), is that there are so many options: nighttime entertainment, jellyrolls, dining on the BW (love sitting outside BRG), surrey bikes, belle vue lounge....and we're just minutes from our room. the quiet options are fantastic: reading on the back balcony, the stunning (and QUIET!;)) BWI pool, simply strolling because you feel like it........

We have stayed at BC and BWI. Both will provide a distinct and enjoyable stay-experience. Park hopper tickets are a great choice when staying at one of the Epcot resort, since you can easily drop-in on England or France for a quick bite any day or plan a dinner in night of your stay. Considerable bus time can be accumulated as the bus is shared among the Epcot resorts along with full buses. We took advantage of our rental car more at the Epcot resort area then when we stay in the MK resort area.

We enjoyed the pools at both resorts.
SAB wins for variety, size and controlled access. BWI for less traffic, access to the slide is in the pool area (SAB you exit the pool area) and drink area located in the prime pool area (BWI). The best quiet pool is found at BWI.

There is a lot more non-guest foot traffic at the BC around dinner time and Epcot park closing at people cut through the resort to their cars parked in the resort lot, in comparison to the BWI resort. BC and also attached to the YC and shares SAB, so its really a mega resort. Lots of people visit to see SAB or dine at one of the restaurants at the BC or YC. BWI provided more of a guest resort feel, more private with restaurants found on the Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk is about a 5-8 minute walk from BC and at BWI it is right outside your door. This is a plus for the BWI, especially in the morning (BWI Bakery) and at night (when you are sort of tired); browse the Boardwalk shops or one of the Boardwalk entertainers or just get some ice cream. Overall, we found the BWI provided a cozier feel. Just realize whatever you decide you can have a great time if you enter you stay with positive thoughts.:)

You can't make a bad decision here. Both are beautiful resorts in the same fabulous location. We love Beach Club and own DVC there but if Beach Club was full we would be happy at Boardwalk!

We stayed 10 nights at BW in Dec and absolutely fell in love with the resort -- so much in fact that we changed our then WL booking for Oct to stay at BW again. We will also be staying there summer 2014 for DH & my Anniversary.

We love the location & the CL CM's are amazing.

The whole Epcot/BW area is just beautiful. I think you will be happy with whatever choice you make.

We have stayed at BC but not at BW. We love the BC because of the atmosphere and also the pools. SAB is great but the quiet pool and the pool at the DVC villas are great as well. Either way you really can't go wrong. They are both great and you can always enjoy both resorts no matter which one you stay at. Enjoy and have a great time!

We are staying at the Boardwalk and last night went to the Yachtsmen for dinner. I regret not staying at the Beach Club. It has a great atmosphere, great dining choices, and the best pool. The big thing to me on this stay is that the Beach club has its own bus to MK. The stops at Swan and Dolphin really add to the trip and make the buses packed.

We have stayed at both resorts and you really can't go wrong. We love the proximity to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. The pool is much better at BCV. The walk to EPCOT is a tad shorter from BCV.

The groupings of the Epcot resort buses changes by the day. Some days they may group BC, YC and BW. Some days BW with Swan/Dolphin. And some really annoying days, they group all five resorts on the same bus. So picking one resort over the other really won't change your odds on bus groupings.

I actually prefer the Yacht Club over the BC, but would take BWI over them both. I am one that is not a fan of the SAB. I don't like that you have to go across the public walkway to enter the slide. And after a long day walking in the park, the course sand in the bottom of the pool really hurts my feet. I also found it was hard to keep track of my child. YC was more calm, and a little quieter than the BC, and I like having a full balcony. We are staying at BWV in June, and I can't wait. We love the atmosphere of the BW, with the entertainment, etc. And while the BC may be slightly closer to Epcot, the walk to HS is a bit longer from the BC than it is from BW. It's a matter of personal preference though. So go through the pictures, and decide what appeals to you more!
