So just returned from a trip and had only one night at BWV. They had put us in room 4057 and when we walked in I looked down one floor and the rooms below had HUGE balconies. I asked the valet if we could move down one floor and he made a call and said sure! They are inside like the U shape of the part that overlooks the Boardwalk, not directly on the Boardwalk but in that curve.
I was so happy and man these rooms have the biggest balcony I have ever seen. There looked to be a few on each side of the U shape. The valet said they call them the “party” balconies. Does anyone know what they call these rooms or how to request them in the future

Sounds like an awesome room! Last fall we had 2 night BW Garden/pool view and tried to get that area by requesting:

Overlooking Village Green and listed a few room numbers as our preference.

It didn’t work that time but it was very busy week. It has worked other times. Definitely worth a shot.

This picture does not do the size of this balcony justice it’s absolutely huge could have fit another full sized table and a few lounge chairs on it

We were in 3061 right after Labor Day. We spent a ton of time out on that balcony. It gets shade in the afternoon which was amazing!

Yes, they are gigantic. I wasn't quite as enthralled as the people above spent loads of time watching us when out there and it also felt awkward with just the regular patio furniture on them. The people above was just a bit of an annoyance, moreso when they dropped a water bottle down (not on purpose - they yelled down an apology).

Those third floor studios with those balconies are rooms above Wyland Galleries overlooking the Village Green a/k/a Courtyard. All the studios in that area are pool/garden view rooms. See the room numbers here: www.disboards.com/media/bwv-courtyard-preferred-view.62897/. The one thing you want to avoid in that area above Wyland Galleries is the second floor rooms because the balconies are inside the arches over Wyland Galleries and have essentially no view.

To get a studio in that area, you need a pool/garden view reservation and request village green view. Asking for Village Green view and third floor will not necessarily get that view even if granted since it is the third floor studios above Wyland and possibly the tunnel, but not others that have the larger balconies.

Be aware that I requested Village Green for my trip 2 weeks ago and got instead one of the possibly worst rooms at the end of the (what felt like) 45 miles hallway 🤣

We lucked into one of these rooms during our july trip. We could see the epcot fireworks from our mega balcony

We were lucky enough to get one of the rooms with the ginormous balconies for two nights in May. It was our first DVC stay and we were super excited when we saw it! We loved it and fell in love with the resort so much we just closed on a small BW contract. :-)

Nice balcony! Too bad you can't get more furniture/loungers to enjoy it. My gripe with pretty much every DVC resort is that they obviously put out non-comfortable basic furniture on the balconies in all resorts. I know they want you to spend your time outside of your room, but for a "deluxe" resort it would be nice to have some more comfortable seating on the balconies. They just look less inviting with the metal basic chairs and tiny table.

Totally agree. I spend the majority of my time in the parks but absolutely love chilling on the balcony during breaks and especially in the evening when parks are closed. But if you don’t shell out the big bucks for a deluxe you’re out of luck. Been staying at the CS Tower. How do they not have balconies? Most moderates and below don’t even offer a comfortable chair.

My fave view. Bc it’s pretty much a BW view not pool/garden imo!!
Years ago, those villas were categorized as BW view, but so many guests complained that they were only “partial” BW view that DVC reclassified them into the P/G view category!

I’ll admit we were among them - booked BW view and got one of the 1BR on the corner by the Screen Door. DH complained at the front desk, but no other BW view 1BR were available. The next day they called and offered to move us, but by then we had realized that villa was a little larger than the usual 1BR, so we stayed. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy the large balcony, because they were painting the outside of the building and had it blocked off. I would love to get that 1BR again!
