Which would you choose??????????????????????????????????

Please Help! Traveling w/6 adults, all my family. Grand Villa comes w/3 bedrooms, full kitchen, washer-dryer, Poly comes w/2 bedrooms mini kitchen, murphy bed in parlor.

My concerns: We really like being close to snack bars, transportation, and room service. I've heard the walking distance to the elevators of BGV's can be pretty long. So tell me, what do you think? Oh yeh, the price is about the same.

Thanks to all

Is there a certain park you will be spending most of your time at?

I think all of the Boardwalk Grand Villas have Boardwalk views. Maybe this would make for shorter walks to the things you want to go to.

Does the suite at the Poly come with concierge service?

I enjoy the suites at WDW but I would probably go with the Grand Villa on this one. It will be close to a lot of activities and 2 parks.

Are the 6 adults traveling 3 couples? If so, then having the 3 bedrooms will be nice.

Let us know what you decide.:D

Is there a Grand Villa available? I know BWV DVC members have a tough time getting them, as they book fast, so you may not be able to get a reservation for one. :) There are pictures of the Ambassador Suite on Tikiman's website. It looks like a nice sized suite, but really doesn't have a "view" - it's just of some plants and the monorail off into the distance.

Before we were DVC members there was availability for a GV several times when we were planning trips.

I'm sure the suites at the Poly are very nice but you can't beat the location of the Grand Villas. There is so much to do at the Boardwalk, Epcot, MGM, etc.

Thanks for posting so quickly.............floridafam, yes, the Poly does come w/concierge. And the suites are also such a joy to us too! :Pinkbounc I'm afraid the Grand Villa will feel like an apartment far away from everything.

California dreaming.............I called yesterday and was able to get ressies for BGV's. I'm a little puzzeled myself about this one. I thought they were for DVC only. Do you think the CR made a mistake? I'll have to find out first before letting go of my Poly ressies. And yes, the view of the ambassador is a little concerning, but the hop, skip and a jump the the GCH is quite pleasing. ::yes::

In that case, I'd probably go for the Grand Villa. The BW view, the third bedroom, and the full kitchen would put it a notch above the Ambassador Suite.

Now, as a DVC Member, and a BWV owner, I do find it upsetting that CRO has Grand Villas. There are only 7 of them, and I kinda feel they should be in member inventory.

I would also go with the BWV grand villa. It is right on the boardwalk - great views. The full kitchen and jacuzzi tub. Have a great trip :Pinkbounc

I'm not at all surprised you were able to get a Grand Villa. We have called several times at regular guests about Beach Cottages at VB and there was plenty of availability. Disney does hold a % of the inventory at the DVC resorts so it seems only natural that any type of room would be a part of that-including the GV's.

This is a tough choice. Concierge is wonderful. The monorail is nice. Suites are nice.

I don't think you have to worry about being far away from everything at the Boardwalk. You are right in the middle of all the action.

If you truly have your heart set on the Poly then I would stay there.

heck, I was happy just getting to stay on-property at a Value Resort. The grand villa and ambassador suite are so far out of my league it isn't funny.

At the Poly you have monorail to EPCOT and MK. Busses to everything else.

At the Boardwalk you have a waterlaunch or a reasonable walk to EPCOT and Studios, busses to everything else.

Sounds like a push to me. I'd go for the extra bedroom at the Boardwalk if I were you.
