Boardwalk Grand Villa availability

We are planning a trip next winter (nov 05), and our home resort is OKW. I am planning on booking a Grand Villa at OKW, and then trying to change it to BWV when we get into the 6 month window (or getting on the wait list). I know it is going to take all of my points for 3 years, but is there any chance we may actually be able to get the "upgrade"?

We love OKW, but with this large group, the convenience of BWV is worth the extra points.

7 months until you can change- you don't know until you try!!!

book it day by day - or whatever MS suggests if you can get it at all.

for Thanksgiving I would not count on it - for the rest of November -I would think your chances would be good.

It may depend on when in November. If it's Thanksgiving time or after, when the holiday decorations are up, you stand little chance. If it is early November, you never know. Just remember that there aren't that many BWV Grand Villas to go around so they are very hard to get.

I would have said early November will be just as bad. The Food & Wine Fest fills the place early (before Nov 15th).

Best shot in my opinion is the week between Food & Wine and before Thanksgiving. Just my opinion.

There are so few GV at BW. Your problem is that you can't really change unless the entire reservation is there. If you had enough points to book both, you could try for BW GV at the 7 month window day by day. But in this case, if you do that and take days off your OKW reservation, you may end up with nothing. Of course you could get a 2 BR plus studio or 1 BR at BWV much easier. Maybe you could work out a direc exchange with a BW member to use the 11 month window. Good luck, I hope it works out.
