Forgive me if this has been explored to death. If I take the walking (ie boardwalk) route to Epcot in the morning, can I get in if it's before World Showcase opens? Or would I have to take a bus to Future World's gate?

Yep, you can walk right on through to Future World. Once you're through the gates, the bridge on the right to the World Showcase will be roped off.

You can enter through the International Gateway and walk past the UK and Canada pavilions to FW. There is no bus between the Epcot resorts and the front entrance of the park.

While most of WS is closed you can go over the bridge into France because Les Halles Bakery opens at 9:00. It's a delicious way to start the day. :)

Entering through International Gateway at Rope Drop is one of my favorite things about staying at an Epcot Resort. Easy peasy - no crowds and the lovely stroll through the UK and Canada on your way to Soarin'!:thumbsup2

I really like doing it when we had a Segway tour scheduled before the park opened at all. Walking all by ourselves between IG and Guest Relations seemed unreal.

You guys I am getting so excited I can't sit still! Thanks for all the tips! YAY!!

As I'll be staying at YC, hitting the bakery before EPCOT opens sounds like a fun way to start the day. Always seems like I'm too full or trying to get hungry for the next ADR when I'm near France!!
