Boardwalk - Do I have a Chance??

Hi Everyone,

Well I e-mailed my friend all my info and tomorrow is the 7-month mark for my Aug 31-Sep 5 Disney vacation. I gave her 7 choices of accomodations based on the points I have to use hoping one will pan out. I called DVC today asking if it was at all possible to let me know availability on certain rooms so as to make things easier for my friend tomorrow - the person was very nice and put me on hold to ask someone, but they couldn't. Now the suspense is building...So for anyone who recently made reservations for around that time, or with an educated opinion - here are my choices in order. What do you think I have a chance at getting? Thanks! Wendy
2-Bedroom Standard View, Boardwalk
2 Studios, Preferred View, Boardwalk
2 Studios, Beach Club
2 Studios Wilderness Lodge
2-Bedroom Dedicated OKW
2-Bedroom Lock-In OKW

BWV St - no chance
BWV PV Studios - possible
BCV studios - possible
VWL studios - not as possible (very small resort)
OKW Dedicated - possible
OKW Lock off - possible (if they have a dedicated, they will put you in that before they will put you in a lock off).

If you are not a member, MS will not talk to you. Even if you have a reservation in your name, they will not talk to you. Even if you are member, but used someone else's points for the reservation, they will not talk to you about that reservation. Your points, your reservation = conversation w/MS

Those studios are going to be tough to get at any of those resorts. Good luck, I hope you are able to get your first choice!

I think your time frame gives you a shot at most of your choices. The standard view at BW may be out though. You can always have your friend make the reservation and waitlist for the one you REALLY REALLY want if it isn't available at this time. With 7 months to go and it being the start of school, hurricane season and generally slow time except for the free dining at the regular resorts you may just get it.

Let us know how you made out? I got BWV Pref. Studio 8/20-8/24 and VWL Studio 8/28-8/30 no problem last week so I wish you the best of luck!

I just called up for the same time frames. Day by Day. I was able to get what I wanted a Studio, savanna view AK for the first two night and then moving to a BCV studio. This trip is the first time we are going alone, My DH & myself. I'm real excited maybe we will see you guys in Jelly Rolls.

I called at less than 6 months out and got BWV standard 1 bdr. for end of June beginning of July.

I hope you get what you want.

I'm guessing that she will be able to book your first choice, the BWV standard 2 bedroom.

At 7 months out I called for a 2 bedroom BWV for August 10-15, all that was available was pool/garden view.
