It looks like Big River Grill and Brewing is on the DDP is this correct, I don't see many references to this restaurant, is it good?

What we are doing is looking for a place to have dinner, TS in and around BC resort without having to enter a park. We will have spent the day at AK and have people coming with us who will not have park hoppers and who will not be on the DDP so we want to chose a restaurant that will not break the bank for those paying OOP and also doesn't require park entry.

Thanks

Big River Grille has gotten some of the worst reviews of any WDW restaurant. However, people who I know have been there say it wasn't all that bad.

Other suggestions in oder of overall dining bill:

Spoodles Pizza Window. You can order a whole pizza and eat it outside on the boardwalk. If you are on the ddp, you can get a pizza slice using your couter service (c.s.).

The next best bet using the ddp is the Hurricane Hannas Grill at BC. But again, you will be using C.S.

If you go to one of these and use counter service, You can always double up your table service credits and go to a signature restaurant the next day such as Bistro De Paris, Flying Fish, Jiko, California Grille.

my vote for BW/BC area would definately be Spoodles (sit down restaurant). food ranges from very good to excellent.

tho since you are near AKL, you could go to my all-time favorite: Boma  . it's a buffet, & the best restaurant on property!! (IMHO, of course ;) )
check out the menu & reviews at wdwig.com

We eat there almost every trip - we really enjoy their food. We've been when it's cool enough to sit outside on the boardwalk at dusk and it made a good meal that much better.

Big River Grille??? YUCK!! Bad food, bad service.

You could try the Yacht club galley. It's a nice quiet TS place to eat that you seldom hear anything about. The menu is diverse and food good, service a little slow. Other than that you could try Spoodles, expensive though. Their menu is not very big either. Check out the menus and prices. You could always try for beaches and cream too, but no ADRs and pretty much burgers and deserts. Of course Cape May at the BC is a buffet and gives everyone good choices.

As previously mentioned, I'd go with Spoodles or Beaches and Cream (if you want something a little more casual).

I agree with the majority on this thread - Big River Grille is edible - but just not appetizing or satisfying - it is soooooo not worth it!!!

My choice for a TS restaurant in the Boardwalk area would be Spoodles. We really enjoy their food!! Also at BC the Cape May Cafe Buffet is also very good and has lots of different choices for everyone. :)
