Boardwalk Continental Breakfast?

I'm thinking about not booking concierge this year! We usually only use the concierge lounges for a quick morning bite before going off for the day. We are going to stay at the Boardwalk Inn in August. I read a while back that you can get a quick continental breakfast at the Bellevue Lounge. Is this still available and does anyone know about the menu and approximate pricing and crowds? Thanks so much for any information and personal experience input :flower:

Hi,

We have been to the BWI three times and two of those times they had a very nice continental breakfast in the Bellevue Lounge (just off the lobby), consisting of juices, fresh fruit, pastries from the Boardwalk Bakery, and coffee of course. There may have been a few other choices such as cold cereals. We would get something and take it back to our room and relax on the balcony, but the lounge itself is a very relaxing place and has its own balcony. The other time it was not available. Probably be best to call the Inn directly. The BWI is our favorite resort. Enjoy!!

How much did they charge for the breakfast?

The Bellevue had breakfast last week when we were there. There were assorted pastries (donuts, twists, muffins, danish), bagels, cereal, juice, coffee and milk. As far as pricing, I think it was in line with what the Boardwalk Bakery charges for those same items. No crowds whatsoever...very easy to get a table in the lounge and no line. I'm not sure many people know about it, honestly.

Thanks so much for the replies already. This breakfast option sounds exactly perfect for our family, especially the no crowds comment! I wonder if it will still be there in August? I am really excited about trying the Boardwalk. We stayed at the YC last year and loved the Epcot resort area. If anyone has any other comments please chime in :) Thanks!

We were there this week and the Bellevue was the perfect choice for a light breakfast. It was very quiet and there were quite a few choices as mentioned above. Items were individually priced (pretty fairly priced in my opinion).

Have fun. We LOVED the BWI - it's my new favorite!

Thanks, too for your reply, antmaril. By the way where was your room...and where is the Bellevue Lounge..? Is it in the lobby area? I've read that the Boardwalk inn is configured somewhat different, e.g. having to go down to get up or something unusual like that. I will go over and read the Boardwalk information thread, but if anyone has any more comments I'd appreciate it!

We were in room 3317 - very nice room by the way. Large balcony with a courtyard view.

The Bellevue Lounge is off the lobby near the elevators. It was very convenient and never crowded.

You do have to go down to the Boardwalk - but it's not a problem. You get the hang of it right away. We were never lost!
