Boardwalk Bride's PJ Morocco/Canada/Attic/SCP updates 01/09!!

It is VERY pretty! And totally fits GF and your theme!

wonder if i could do a roman table.... that would definatly be better for us!

Very pretty
Thanks:goodvibes

Ooh I love that!! And I love the idea of a Roman table. When we were thinking about WHP that's what I wanted (not that it would fit, lol). YAY!!

Thanks:goodvibes I hope it is not too expensive! It wasn't my idea for a roman table, I was told I have to have it because the smaller circle tables are not big enough to hold dinner plates :lmao: I hated the idea at first, but now I am liking how formal it is!

Oh I love! its really pretty and totally works with the GF!
Thanks:goodvibes

I love the idea of a Roman Table. With that decor, it will look absolutely stunning! :goodvibes Love it!!!

I wanted a roman table originally, but now it looks like we've got too many people coming :lmao:

what a pretty table set-up, I really like the linens. I think even if those are couture and expensive, I'm sure they could probably find something similar for you. I know a lot of the round specialty linens seem to be $39 each. I'm sure they have them for a roman table too.

I love the decor idea for SCP! Very elegant and perfect for GF!
Thanks ladies:goodvibes

LOL, that isn't a bad thing! I really didn't want one at first, since I don't want to do assigned seating...but I like that I can decorate it up nicely, and would cost less than doing a bunch of tables individually!

Thanks, I really hope they can find something similar! I just wanted something in that colour, with a pattern to make it more feminine. I LOVE the decor on it, and I can cut out the actual roses, and just use the petals. I also don't need the chargers, and special utensils, although I might ask how $$ they are, and if I can use them.

Right now my BEO without floral is what I want to spend total, but that includes the MK session. We need to add a few small things to it, and we will try and cut out a few, or try and lower it, so it stays the same when floral is added.

The only thing we are unsure of right now is if we want to do a BOC or hosted bar. Everyone except my mom drinks a lot, my mom will prob just have one drink, so I feel like maybe hosted is better? But at the same time, people will probably be so full from dinner, that they won't be able to drink fast, and perhaps won't want to keep getting up from the dinner table to get more to drink. We were originally going to try and make it so that we would be spending over $500 before tax and SC so the bartender fee is waived, but that seems kind of ridic for 16-17 people? I think I may leave the one for now, and worry about it later!

you can check out www.linenshowroom.com. That's the linen rental company Disney uses so that will give you a better idea of what they have. They definitely have linens similar to what you want.

Ah yes, the old BOC or hosted bar debate. We're going to do a hosted bar because even though it is expensive, we have some big drinkers in our party and it's an evening wedding so I think people will be more likely to drink more. Actually I feel like a lot of people I know drink more at weddings since it's free. :lmao:

But then again, since you're mainly having a dinner, will people drink a ton? Maybe not....I feel like dancing encourages more drinking. I think you just have to look at your guestlist... and think of your event.

Thanks! The same linens are in there, so at least I know they have them (although I only saw them in round). But they must have matching ones for "head tables" which is roman style usually anyway, so I hope they do have them!

I think I'm going to do a hosted bar for the dinner, as 16 of the 17 people prob average 3 drinks an hour. We just need to decide if we should do just beer and wine, which will come to I think $340 for 2 hours, plus $100 for bartender, or if we should get a larger package, add some hosted cordials, and try and spend $500 so that we can skip the bartender fee.

I applied for my first full time job today (since I have gone back to school), so hopefully I get one soon, and than I can just splurge on everything!!!

I was on the disney floral website, and found a few different lantern styles that they have. I want to try and just use something they already have, to keep costs down (although I am not sure they would order anything in for me anyway). Here are the styles I found, although keep in mind they are shown as part of a centerpiece, and I would just have the individual lantern.

I like this one when it is dressed up with the vines (aka Heidi's bella notre dinner), but I don't think it would look right lining the aisle or at the attic

This one looks fine, and is what I originally had in mind, but they probably only have them in black, which I would rather avoid.

This one is not what I had in mind at all, but I love that it fits our colour scheme. I think it would go well, since it reminds me of decor seen at many of the lakeside towns around here (with the nautical theme) and I think it would fit at the Attic?

What do you ladies think? Honest opinions please!!

Ooh, I like the first 2 lanterns!

I like Lantern 2 followed by Lantern 1. Maybe they have Lantern 1 in brown too.

I like them all!

Thanks ladies! I do like the 2 better, mostly because I am worried the 3rd one is easy to break. Maybe they can do something to work my colours into the black ones, with coloured candles or ribbon (although that might not look good). I'm sure they can come up with something!

Number one is my favorite! I LOVE hanging lanterns and pomanders!

Thanks Karen! I really like them all, but the last one (the gold one) just works because of the colour, but I am really scared that they will break :lmao: I think I will just mention them all to Rosie, and see what she thinks will work best :goodvibes
