At first I talked to Heidi (that is who I emailed and everything). She is just the "sales coordinator", which is probably who you have. After I signed my contract and they received my deposit, I was assigned a coordinator, and that is the actual person to help you plan. Does that make sense?

We had Heidi too!! LOVE HER!

"welcome party" question??!!???

So, we had originally decided on the following for our Epcot DP welcome party :
-Quesidillas
-International cheese and fruit selection
-Chips and dip
-Hand dipped ice cream (with 2 flavours)

But now I am starting to rethink this menu. Since people may not be having dinner before hand, should I just offer all cocktail type food (so add spring rolls and veggies and dip in place of ice cream)? I like the idea of having appetizers and desserts, but I also want to make sure everyone is full, incase they are using this as a dinner.

I was thinking that when I read ice cream...maybe you can have something cheaper like cookies or something and get another cocktail type food?? I'm not one to ask though since I HEART ice cream and would just eat that haha.

Hahah! A think a lot of people are like you...that's why I think it would be fun to offer!!

I don't think I get that show :sad2: We get Rich Bride, Poor Bride (not sure if it airs in the US??) and I have seen an ice cream cart there! LOL

I like the menu you have. I think that with the food you have picked out people will be full. I love quesidillas and sometimes i even order them off the app. menu as my meal. (But thats just me.) I'd ask a few of your friends that will be attending and feel them out on the idea and see what they think.

Yah, I think I will keep it. The only problem I really see is that myself and 2 others are lactose intolerant. But I can just be sure to bring some Lactaid with me, and my one BM will probably have some anyways, since she is a walking pharmacy :lmao:

Alright ladies, with my floral appointment a little over a month away, I want to start deciding on floral and decor options. I have really struggled with flowers. So finally, I have come up with some that I like! Here they are (not in the right colours):

#1 Garden Roses

#2 Peonies

#3 Peonies with white lilac (love this)

#4 Spider mums with orchids and something else (I can't remember)
flowers1.png

I love them all! I really think the spider mums suit the ceremony, since they are more "wilderness" looking (i'm not sure if that's the right word), but I am worried that they will not really pop much either? I love the peonies and garden roses, but I am worried they are too fancy for my venue? But than again, I worry that the spider mum's will look weird at the MK photoshoot! Ughh...any thoughts???

Also, another thing I have been pondering. Since our ceremony is in Epcot now, I am wondering if we really need to to Epcot portraits......since we are not having a cake and champagne celebration @ Epcot, we have lots of time to take pics there. So should we cancel it, and do something else (like Animal Kingdom)?? Or should we keep Epcot, and just get pictures in the other pavilions?

Ok I love peonies...that's what my bouquet is!!! But I agree...it might be a bit soft for the location. PLUS maybe you should have something that goes more with the herbs you decided instead of flower petals. What about something like this?

I love bouquets that are all baby's breath!!

Anyway, you get the idea. I think with the "mountains" behind you and the herbs lining the asile, something more rustic would look fab!!

We are doing our bridal portraits at AK because we want to get LOTS of pics there since that is where the reception is. I think you guys should stick with EPCOT so you have lots of pictures where your wedding is. We added MK too. I think some of the other pavillions are so pretty. We almost did EPCOT...I would love to do photos in Morocco!!

I like #3 best! But all of the bouquets are really pretty!

I would switch it to AK, you'll have plenty of Epcot pics from the ceremony and I bet if you asked they would even let you do another pavilion for a few Bridal portraits.

I was thinking more rustic too! I totally saw the baby's breath bouquet, and it seems perfect!!! However, as much as I am not into flowers, I am a girly girl, and I think I need something more girly. I really like the ones you posted, but I am so scared to order roses through disney since the so often give you closed ones. Personally, I really don't like that, and I think I would die if they gave me closed roses.

I love #3 too. I am thinking of that, and incorporating some of the baby's breath into it the Mandy posted....I'll search and see if I can find an inspiration!

Yes, I think I may switch to AK. The thing is, that they are giving us 1 photographer from 5:45 to 10am, which will cover the 2 bridals and the ceremony. So, that basically gives us an hour in Epcot before the ceremony, and I am sure that since the photographer is already there, they'll just keep taking pictures. I feel like I could cut the extra session, but than 1) I feel like it is a good deal to just add the extra $300 and get unique pics, and 2) we would prob have to go back to our hotel for an hour, and be picked up again, which seems so rushed to me! I think I would rather pay the $300 just for the fact that once we leave the room, we won't have to go back for awhile :rotfl: It makes sense to me anyway!

i'm with sara on this one. I like #3 the best and I'd change to AK to mix it up a bit!

I wish I could see examples of some!!! I remember IrishLilly (I think that is the username) did it, but her pics are expired, so I can't see them. Oh well!

Quick question: does a boutonniere need to be the same flower as the bouquets?

I don't think it needs to be. I would say as long as its the same color as yours it will work. There are no rules! haha

I loooove #3 and you could add the babys breathe in it and i think that would be the look you're going for!

I would do the AK photoshoot... i think it'll be lovely! You'll have pictures from every park almost! thats super cool! I'm jelouse

i really like the last bouquet. spider mums are starting to grow on me. :o)

Thanks for the opinions ladies!!! I love the spider mums, but I am scared they may look kinda wilted, especially since some disney bouquets seem to have that problem. But I agree with what Mandy said, that the peonies don't really match with the scattered herbs. So I need to decide between petals or herbs I guess first!

WOW! I was so far behind in your PJ but just got caught up! I love all the changes! So awesome that you're going to get married in Canada and still have an Escape Ceremony!!!!!!! I love the idea of more "rustic" flowers... so romantic! And the textured cakes are to die for! Oh and I love the veil! So many new things! I would go with AK for your extra set of pics bc I'm sure they will let you get plenty of Epcot pics while you're with the photographer for the ceremony! You are getting soooooo close!
