So back to the disney portion of the wedding!!
When I had my consultation with my WC, I told her that I had hired outside photography (Randy) and that I knew that meant giving up the package one, etc. She informed me that for 2010 brides, they will still send out the Disney photographer to take background pictures, and I will still get the album (as long as Randy agrees). Well, he did!!! So we will have 2 photographers, which I am really excited about!!! I also told Randy I cannot do a "trash the dress" anymore, since my dress costs more than my first car, so we decided on doing a photoshoot at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It will still be fun, because I am not scared to get my dress dirty, since dry cleaning should take all of that out. I will also trash the bottom of the dress, since I am getting it shortened anyhow!
The other thing my WC updated me on was the dessert party. After DF saw the pictures of the new venue, Outpost Overlook, he really wanted to do it there (and so did I). But because we are asking for extra time, and a variety of hot and cold food, we cannot do it there. All the UK ones are booked, so Morocco it is for us (which is fine anyway). We made a custom menu for our dessert party, and got the pricing back, at $32 per person. This is for an hour and a half of food, I think most people do an hour. When it gets closer, I think I will check to see how much we will save by shortening it to an hour, if it isn't much, I might as well keep it.
Okay, just a few more things!!! So well in London yesterday, MOH and I decided it would be a good idea to look at fabrics (and poor DF was dragged along). We were supposed to all meet in Hamilton to do it next weekend, but MOH and I hate Hamilton, and don't know it well enough to drive there, so we wanted to see if we could find something in London. Well, we were in a fabric store for over 2 hours!!! I couldn't find the right colours in the same material, and I thought it would be weird to have the girls in 2 different materials. So we gave up, dropped MOH off, and started to drive home. On our way out of London, we passed another fabric store (same company) so decided to check quickly if they had the colours in the right fabric. So we walked it, went to the bridal section, and found the 2 exact colours side by side!!! Here they are:
I hope my BM's are not mad that I bought it without them, but since I think they were planning on paying for their own fabric, at least I saved them money! I also decided I no longer want them to wear a red sash. I could not find a red that looked right, and I think it is just too much. Instead, we will add red in through shoes, flowers, accessories, like my favourite girls here:
Okay, sorry this has been boring, but just one more thing (for now)! I noticed that the chairs at SBP are not those plastic picnic looking chairs anymore, but look quite a bit nicer. I really don't like the idea of chair covers there, since I think it looks a little formal for the venue (just my opinion) so I thought just a sash could be nice (and probably cut down price)! So here are the ones I am thinking of:
1) Just the regular sash that would be normally with the chair cover:
2) This type of design (not sure if they can do it, but I can ask)
3) Or using a more sheer (taffeta I beleive) fabric
What do you ladies think? And what colour(s) should I use? Should it be all aqua, or aqua and red, or all 3? Ahhh, I don't know!
