I have read on a couple of sites that there is nightly entertainment going on at the Boardwalk such as jugglers, fire throwers, etc however the information seems to be outdated. Does anything like this still go on and if so is there certain times/nights? Thanks!

Yes, there is still a lot of free entertainment on the Boardwalk. I seem to see magicians more than anything else. Probably because my girls are drawn to them! Not sure if there are certain entertainers on certain nights.

There's also a stolling piano player and a juggler/balancing act. It's every night, but it seems they are all done for the night around 10 pm.

I've always seen a crowd gathered around a magician. I'm guessing the last time this was was in December. There is activity around the boardwalk!

Thanks for the quick replys! Looks like me and DS will be spending an evening at the Boardwalk! This is great since I plan to check out all of the DVC resorts on this trip, I have only been to SSR and AKV.

One of the reasons I love, love, love Boardwalk. Nothing beats seeing Illuminations, walking back along the lake, and then watching the activities on the Boardwalk. It's just so lively.

Don't forget Spoodles, a night club on the Boardwalk. This is the home of the "dueling pianos", with 2 piano players/singers who do requests all evening. Actually there's a couple pair of piano players so, instead of taking a break, the music continues. We went there in May and it was fantastic.

A couple notes: There is a cover to get in, as I remember $10 per person. Later in the evening there were no seats left and a line to get in. Smoking is permitted, but ventilation is good. They don't accept the Disney room charge, so you need either cash or a normal credit card.

If we ever have a trip where we have to choose between Spoodles and the Adventurer's Club, it would be a really tough call!

I could be wrong, but I think you mean Jellyrolls, not Spoodles. I'm pretty sure that Spoodles is the Mediterranean-style restaurant.

Whoops, you're right Jellyrolls!!!!!!! Neither name really makes sense for a dueling piano bar anyway!

Jellyrolls is the best. Dueling pianos are awesome!:thumbsup2

Dennis-

I was just at BWV last week and we loved the piano on the bicycle guy!! Dont forget about the smell of the funnel cakes, the music, the balloons, and the big open courtyard where kids are running around barefoot!

OH and Jellyrolls is the best!!

I was looking at the Steve Soares site and it says

"BoardWalk Buskers are on the Boardwalk from 6:30pm to 10:30pm
See the fun, the wacky, the bizarre, the just plain weird, when you catch the traveling Buskers. Guests participate to make the silliness magical and the magic just plain silly.

UPDATE 04/27/03
The Buskers have been replaced by a rotating group of performers that only appear Thursday-Saturday, at least at present. The only musician still performing is "Musicale Mark;" the others include a cowgirl doing rope tricks, a juggler, a balancing act, and a presentation from one of the former Buskers."

I hope that the 2003 info is outdated and that there's live entertainment on other nights, not just Thursday thru Saturday?
