Ive had my ADRs since my 90 day mark, and now 2 1/2 weeks before my trip Im rethinking! I let DBF pick some places this time around (big compromise!) and ESPN was one of the picks. I know they dont accept reservations, so I just put it in my notes that we are going there on Thursday June 25th. Now Im realizing that a)Im not really getting too much of a 'bang for my buck' b)I dont like the idea of not having an ADR, and the thought of waiting and hunger combined makes me cringe! c)I think DBF was just looking for a relaxed, night at the bar type of night -- which we can still go AFTER DINNER and d)This will actually be our last night, so Id like to end on a better note than bar food.

With all that being said, where would you pick to eat in the Boardwalk area (or Hollywood Studios) that is a 1ts restaurant on the dp? And what do you think the chances of me getting a late dinner ADR is?

I don't usually eat at the BW but there is the Big River Grill. You could also go to the YC or the BC either via boat or walking and choose one of their restaurants. I have eaten at ESPN before and I can tell you the line does get long to be seated many times!! Also not a quiet atmosphere by any measure!

Spoodles is always a favorite of ours. Not sure what the situation is since they are closing in Aug. to return as another restaurant. The foods is really good and it is a nice place for a good dinner.

Spoodles (Kat Cora's) should be a good choice. We ate at Spoodles in April, it was great, but we spoke to server (CM). He was looking forward to the change. Big River is a walk up, OK for burgers, nice for sitting outside and people watch. Boardwalk Bakery has great sandwiches. Swan & Dolphin has some great option and Capt. Galley is usually friendly to walk ups. Don't forget the back door to Epcot for a world of choices. If you are looking for something to doafter dinner, Jellyrolls is great. My wife can't get over how much fun we had singing along. She thinks we acted like nuts. I told her "So did everyone else". "They had an excuse, they were drinking and we weren't" she said. Have a great time.

we like the big river grill when we were there in april. however espn was the worst meal of the trip and we will never go back. the food was terrible and the wait staff was even worse.
