Today was Saturday and originally i had reservations for me and the little guys on the Sunrise Safari. Many of you may remember I was very unsure about the 3 year olds on this Safari. In the end I canceled the 3 of us and sent Nana alone with ds9. The little guys get very annoying to him. So I thought it would be better if he got some special perk they did not. So he slept in Nana's room. I took dd16 in my room and off they went to the Safari. Again We slept in and decided to go AK with my friends. My kids didn't care we were going for his girls. So we met at the bus stop at around 10-30. It was the only bus that had a huge line. So we bagged it and all got in a cab. The kids were all fast friends at this point and everything was running smoothly. We had a great day. surprisingly smooth. Despite having 2 sets of twins along for the ride! They really did great.
Entering the park we went straight to the Safari, Even on a 75 degree day this park fealt hot!!!!!By the time we got to the Safari. All the kids needed drinks. After drinks and more big pretzals. We hit the Safari all the kids loved it. It was a big hit for all involved. It's so much fun to see disney through kids who have no idea whats going to happen. Mine know every nuance. To these little ones it was all new and all real! After that we went to Rafikkis planet watch and brushed the goats, and went into look at all the exhibets, no characters this time. We did see the talking trash can as we were leaving. Always a hit. However some kids were really beating the heck out of the can. Hitting it kicking it. refusing to move to the side so it could walk away. really so obnoxious as the parents pretend not to see. It was so bad that the can asked our kids to let him in the door and it went back inside it was so rude. We then did tough to be a bug. One of the girls went into a shop with my dd16 and we did the show. And then decided we were done for the day.
I have edited to add this. Before someone posts this on the I can't believe it thread. As we were waiting for a cab at Ak, We had to have a van called as there were so many of us. It took awhile for the cab to come and the kids were a little restless. There is a grassy area near the cab stand and they were all playing tag. Us adults were about 15 feet away. All of a sudden I see people pointing and laughing.... Oh, no? One of mine had dropped his pants and was peeing on the grass. Too far away to catch. We thought it funny. A very nice man from Michigan thought it was very funny as well....
That night we had a wishes fireworks cruise out of the Poly. Dbgf and her nephew joined us. It was very warm about 65 on the water. The fireworks but only some of the electrical water pagent. Which was a little upsetting as we love it, the driver was in a the wrong area. so we only saw it very briefly. It went off without a hitch. other than one of mine. becoming unglued for about ten minutes and ripping off his life jacket. The driver was less than patient during this time!
It was fun although not as fun as prior cruises. We arrived back at the lodge about 10-30. it was my friends last day. When they got back to the room. One of the girls lovies, A very well worn blankie. was missing. Now in the maids defense. it did look like a rag or a ball of twine it was very worn and now brownish gray. After MUCH DRAMA!!!! The poor little thing fell asleep crying. And AKL's search for blankie was initiated. Laundry was checked. Garbage was called however it had already been compacted at this point. The maid was called couldn't remember seeing blankie. To bad it was never found. And we had a very upset little girl. Her first trip and this happens. Luckily this was the only drama on the trip. And it wasn't one of my little ones. So I guess the curse has been lifted. Hopefully!!!!!
