hate to be a spoil sport - but since the upgrade
I hate to be a spoilsport too, but before the podcast, I couldn't have even said with certainty that the boards were moved to new servers. There was never any communication on the boards themselves, only in the podcast.
hate to be a spoil sport - but since the upgrade, i've had nothing but trouble.
The boards worked fine for me before the upgrade, now it's a mess.
i can't figure out what's the problem
I've tried using chrome and explorer - both of them don't work well at all.
The page is loading semi-corrupt or not loading at all.
can't figure it out. Incompatibility between the new server and my ISP? that would be weird.
You have to clear all your cookies, cache etc. Nobody wants to do it because of needing to re-login to all of their web sites but it really is the only way. We have seen this issue several times now and it's the only answer we have ever found
I had a similar issue when the boards were first switched to the new servers over the weekend - could not get them to load at all when using a machine connected to my home's internet. iPad and IPhones all worked fine when not connected to the wifi.
I called my local service provider (Brighthouse) and explained the issue.
The tech's exact words were 'Oh, the software on your router is VERY old'. He did a remote update, rebooted my router and within minutes I was working fine. This seems counter-intuitive to how server addresses and domain names work but what ever he did fixed the issue.
My advise would be to call your local provider and explain exactly what you're experiencing. My guess is they will walk you through some things (clear DNS, ping the site, etc) and that will help them diagnose the issue.
