Hi there,
I'm wondering if anyone has done a boardmaker for their trip, and if so, what were the most helpful things that you put on there. Our 3 year old son is severely Apraxic and has some mild sensory issues. In addition to the GAC, I'm thinking a picture board that we can use for both him (and us!) would work great. Still trying to figure out what to put on there, though. We don't have the actual boardmaker program, but our Speech Path does, and she's willing to help put it together.
I'm thinking of things for waiting in line...like an example of "how long we have to wait..." with a visual of a line or something...then maybe pictures of rides? Maybe pictures of characters? Shows? I know I could get really crazy here with putting a lot on there, but I'm just hoping I could do SOMETHING to make the understanding easier.
I'm also planning on putting some safety things on there as well, and putting that on a small circular clip to help him out. Things for him to initiate...hungry, help, scared, etc....
Any other ideas? Thanks for the help!
