I am going on the 3 day cruise on 2/27. What time is boarding time the day that you leave? I've heard many different times. Also, do you need to eat a meal before boarding? Any assistance would be great.

The port terminal opens at 10:30 am, I think. Boarding time is scheduled for 1:00pm, but the reality is that they usually begin before that. In my experience, it is usually between 12:15 and 12:30. It really depends on how quickly they can get the ship "turned around," that is, cleaned and ready for new passengers.

I usually eat a light breakfast on the morning of the cruise, but no lunch. They have a great lunch buffet (mmm...peel-and-eat shrimp!) which is open once you board.

Over the course of 28 cruises, we've found that the most common start time is 12:15. Once in awhile, I've seen it happen as early as noon and as late as 1. To kill time but not spoil our appetite, hubby and I usually buy some coffee at the R.E. Fresh's shop in the terminal (well, he gets coffee and I get flavored steamed milk).
