Boarding pass towel graphic

I was about to say the same thing PrincessShmoo said.. They form the Corp then a couple years to build that beautiful piece of art work.

Here it is with a grey border.

I love this, I have a tshirt & the towel. May I print this as a Magnet for my upcoming cruise?

That's because DCL boarding passes wouldn't have been issued until 1998 (when the Magic first sailed). But DCL was actually established (incorporated, or whatever it's called) in 1995. They needed a company to order the ships to be built and it takes 2-3 years to build a ship.

Well, either way, if the OP wants to be authentic to that particular graphic, it says 1998. I'm not sure why DCL chose 1998 over 1995 to put on their shirts, but it says "Est. 1998" so someone made that call when making this graphic.

I think they go with their "opening date". In a way you could say that WDW existed before October 1, 1971, but since that day was the official opening date, this is when they celebrate WDW's anniversary. In the same regard they celebrate DCL anniversaries on the day of Maiden Voyage of the Disney Magic in 1998. Choosing the word "established" is what creates the problem if you take it literal. If you think of it as the day the opened the doors to their business, is does make more sense to put 1998 though.
