Boarding pass towel graphic

I really like the graphic on this towel, and was wondering if anyone has ever found the art in a true graphic file (vs. a picture of the towel itself, like above)? I would like to adapt it in Acrobat or Illustrator to make a personalized "surprise announcement" for the kids.

Any info would be appreciated. Thx.

Can't answer to that graphic specifically, but have you checked over on the DISigns board? I know someone there did boarding passes (not this one, but others).

I have, thanks. Honestly, it's a little convoluted over there. There are plenty on Pinterest, but this old-timey towel graphic just calls to me.

Yes, I forgot it's a shirt, too. Wonder what is the best way to take a high-res image of the shirt or towel and extract the line art from the photo....

Well, you can convert a jpeg to svg in Illustrator. Maybe I will order the shirt, stretch it taut, take a high-res photo and see what happens. If nothing else, I'll have a cool shirt.

Lets see if this works. I havent loaded a picture on this site yet. I dont really like the rope surrounding but that was the only way I could make it the dark blue right now. I could make it a light blue or grey and have it look less grainy and choppy really easy.

I used powerpoint and googled the images. According to Wiki (so it obviously could be wrong) DCL was founded in 1995, and incorporated in 1996 though in 1985 Premier Cruise became partners with Disney. I can put any of the above dates in if you want and send it to you as a picture. I can also add names et all, if you want them, just PM me the info.

No, that's OK on the dates. I was just confused because the towel graphic looks like 1998 and I thought that was when the Magic first sailed. But yes, the corporate entity surely was created long before that.

That's because DCL boarding passes wouldn't have been issued until 1998 (when the Magic first sailed). But DCL was actually established (incorporated, or whatever it's called) in 1995. They needed a company to order the ships to be built and it takes 2-3 years to build a ship.
