Boarding is 215, Can I drop off luggage sooner?

Just did online boarding and saw that we do not board until 215. Can I drop off luggage sooner?

Yes, you can drop luggage at anytime once the port is open. 11am to be safe.

Although regardless of your PAT, you could likely board around 12:30 - 1:00, regardless of PAT, when general boarding is opened.

You chose a Port Arrive Time, PAT, not a boarding time.

General boarding usually begins around 12:45 pm.
Then you can walk aboard regardless of PAT, Boarding #, or anything.

Don't wait till 2:30 to get to the port unless of course you have to.

Show up at 12:00 noon or shortly there after.

That is the sweet spot for little to no lines.

As PP said, you will likely be able to board around 12:30 even if you have a later PAT. I'd recommend planning to get to the port around noon.

In our 38 DCL cruises we have never had boarding start later than 12:00 (usually from 11:15/11:30 on). So, as others have mentioned, you can board way before 2:15 when general boarding opens up (after the boarding numbers are called).

If you call DCL, they will stick to the "official" story of 1:00 to begin boarding or later, but these posters are correct, by then they won't even be using boarding times.
